This has me wondering if the same thing happened to Michael Hoffman. Situations seem quite similar, Russian orphan boys adopted into affluent upper middle class who later turns to porn as a means of making money.
It's so awful reading what happened to him, and he comes across as very sweet. Imagine thinking a good Samaritan has saved you and taken you off for a new life, only to get to the foreign country and basically realise you've been selected as a victim. Must have been so scary, because it's not like he could get out.
