I'm with you WildHoney with the porridge made with water - ick. Although as I've never had it made with water it's probably unfair of me to think it's icky but porridge made with milk and a sprinkling of sugar is the only way to go.

When I was in USA last year they had frosted mini wheats, my god, what a delicious cereal. We dont have frosted anything over here - we have to add our own damn sugar :)

I would buy them online if I could, I have searched and searched for them in our grocery stores - can you tell I am still in bed and craving cereal, yet too lazy to get up? ( it is Saturday morning, my lie in day)

I'll send you some if you want. After all, you are my name sake, ( or rather I am after you) apparently! :biggrin1: I've received more messages for you.....I have had this user name for several years and never even thought to check if someone had something similar!

P.S. If the messages are anything to go by....you are a naughty girl!

You'd think that kelloggs would offer all their varieties of cereals in all the countries they supply. We can't get fruit loops and the USA can't get kelloggs chocolate and orange cereal bars.

Hahahha WldHoney - That is pretty funny. I have used WildHoney or Wild_Honey on the net since 1992, I have yet to run into another. I am happy to share my name with someone who seems so grounded and intelligent , and the fact that you look so good isn't bad either :)

Thanks for the offer to send me frosted Wheats, I think however our customs dept may confiscate them before they reach my bowl ( I will check however haha I am semi* deperate)

....as for those PM's ..well..err..yes I am a naughty girl...yet I also get a lot of weird PM's - so it is kinda nice you are now sharing the load hahah - sorry !

I recently sent some cereal bars to someone on here, although they took ages to arrive there was no problem about them being sent in the post. It could be a whole new facet to the site, postal swap shop :)

Thank you! I appreciate the compliment and same to you! And I quite enjoy the messages.....I get the chance to be a little naughtier myself:wink: ...then I burst their bubble and admit it's not you.

And if you find out you can accept them, it's not a problem!

That's a good idea! And I imagine a lot cheaper than ordering from a website. I know there are some for England and Scotland that Americans can order from.

I only eat Fruit Loops dry as a snack food. PM me, if you like, I can send you some.

Yngjock mentioned my favorite cereal of all time. I'm kooky for Cookie Crisp!:biggrin: No, I've loved Cookie Crisp cereal ever since I was a little boy watching those cool commercials for them on Nickelodeon at my grampa's house. I love the way they make the milk taste, and drinking the leftover milk from the bowl. They were always too expensive and I hardly ever got a chance to eat them when I was little. I buy them a lot more often now though.

Other cereals that I liked as a kid were Corn Flakes (and I always loved for mine to get soggy!), Kix, Cheerios, Rice Krispies, Fruit Loops and the Malt-O-Meal Puffed Rice cereal. A cereal that I only recently started liking a lot is the Malt-O-Meal Cinnamon Toasters, which are a generic of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, I believe. I think they are heavenly! Cinnamon and sugar is one of life's great combos!

I was 6 or 7 years old when Kellogg's Sugar Smacks first hit our breakfast table. It was a rare treat since, being very poor, corn flakes was our usual fare.

BTW - political correctness has changed the name over the years from Sugar Smacks to Honey Smacks to just plain Smacks.

Smacks is my favorite, if stranded on a desert Island that would be my choice. My father used to make a Milkshake with wheat puffs, sugar, milk and ice and that was my favorite too.

I'm not a big cereal person, I can go months without it .

My favorite as a kid was Frosted Flakes (which I still like) and my sister's was Corn Pops. I also got into Muslix for a while.

Their are all kinds of cereals we ate. There was even one called Quisp that was advertised by space aliens. It was shaped like little flying saucers. My all time favorite was stax or stacks. I can't remember how it was spelled. It was supposed to be some healthy stuff. After I poured on the whole milk, and tons of sugar, it was a kid cereal. I think I liked the crunch.

When I lived in Japan, I became fond of Kellogg Genmai Flakes (a sort-of brown-rice Special K, always fresh and crispy because they sealed the pack in some sort of high tech foil).

But when they released a black-sesame version, flavoured with a baked-in crust of Okinawan black/brown sugar, I was hooked. Hyperactivity, here we come!

Of course, the Japanese hate sweet things for breakfast (that's more an end of day treat) so I notice that they've begun to sell my beloved Genmai Flakes as the basis for a breakfast salad. I imagine it would be like eating a salad that's two-thirds croutons.
