I've recieved two of these requests from the same person... anyone else gotten one.. when I replied harshly for the second time he replied that I must not have friends... So everyone lets show this person how annoying it is to be asked to go to another forum... after a "camcheck". Vote yes or no for the annoyingness of this persons requests.

When I saw the title of this topic, I was prepared for another foray in the wonderful world of SPH...

    I don't get these PMs...guess I haven't got a big enough pole.

I got the same exact PM a little while ago. I just didn't respond and I never heard from the person again thankfully.

Yeah I realized I spelled that wrong as soon as I posted it.. Spell check didn't grab that one for me obviously.

I'm not annoyed by any PM - the ones I don't want go bye-bye - 2 clicks - nothing annoying about that. Sorry, the actual content is irrelevant. I guess I've been getting spammed, in one form or another, for nigh on 14 years now, I'm used to it.

Being annoyed would require that I cared one way or another. Not being annoyed may suggest they're welcome, which is equally untrue. They're the electronic equivalant of junk mail; they may clutter up the doormat a little, but they're harmless due to their instant disposability.:tongue:

I take a bit dimmer view, dong.

Spam is usually harmless, to be sure, but spam and junk do require constant application of time and effort for disposal. While any one spam is easily disposed of, failure to routinely clean the inbox (and the front doormat) leads to annoying clutter and, in my opinion, a general ratcheting up of life tension due to yet another required duty foisted on us by someone else's greed.

True, and I suspect junk mail causes more environmental damage than spam too, which possibly makes it even more insidious. I recycle when I can, and even though it's hardly necessary I must admit, I derive a vague sense of satisfaction from an occasional shredding binge.

Yeah I got that one and I don't really find it annoying just vaguely boring that they're wasting my time, who'd be stupid enough to fall for crap like that, the other one's that are similar are invitations to be on someone's web site or in someone's porn film, yeah I'm sure this site is thick with film directors looking for their next star :) Some of them even go so far as to make their own web site, that's really going too far in the attempt to snatch a glimpse of snatch.

Isn't that one of those robots Kink?I'm not sure if that's a person or not.Sometimes they do that because I have gotten some and they are not from actual people.I know what you mean though it is annoying. My question is though how do you write to them to tell them to leave you alone and you are not interested?:biggrin1:

I am annoyed by idiot requests and never respond. If I see a PM from an unknown person I delete without reading it There should be a place where those could go so the trouble maker could be banned if they reached making 50 or more requests like that.
