VERY pleased for you matey
Sounds like wise choices your making

Aussie by experience was really quite bad re Homosexuals (ole term yes 60s/70s) but now its so good to see the changes, Gays now more readily accepted.
Great;

Cant say mine was as exhilirating as yours different era so comparison would be negligible perhaps
Long drawn out process saw me not really come out to anyone.
All the Best matey

congratulations! I came out to a work mate that had been flirting with me.. Then came out to all the ppl i worked with and never looked bak. Find it easier that ppl know from the start. Find it awkward if i just met and they ask about girlfriends etc.... Well done again matey :) x x

I just came out to friend in the car just 2 minutes ago. He wasn't even tanken back, I am so happy I could cry! So happy he accepted me being gay.

Later I will tell poeple bit by bit but not my family or strict catholic friend. I cannt bear to loose them even if they know half fo me; maybe only when I move out of the house.

What was the first person you came out to? and how was he experience?

love you all:smile:

Congratulations, Water Dragon.
I'm so proud of you, and glad for you.
Hugs.

Congratulations Water Dragon! The truth shall set you free!

My best friend and I were friends with benefits for 6 years. He was 6'4", solid muscle, and physically intimidating. Our friends knew that we had something going on, but no one ever dared to say anything about it or ask us. I never felt the need to make a formal announcement. We just lived our lives and had fun (not to mention incredible sex).

The first person that I actually told that I was gay was my female roommate at the time. There was this unspoken tension when the subject of dating came up, and I was evasive for months. Finally, I told her about my connection with my friend who she knew also. She was surprised about him; not surprised about me, and totally cool about it. This month marks 25 years that she and I have been best friends. When we're out and about, we'll comment to each other on the different hot guys that we see. Life is good!

I came out to a younger guy who had formerly worked for me. We got bag lunches, went to a park, ate in the car, and I unloaded to him. He looked at me, kind of surprised for half a second, and then proceeded to tell me that he had a four year relationship with a much older guy, and had always wanted to have a closer relationship with me. Nothing developed in that direction, but it was very strange that the first guy I told was a closeted gay guy. We've kept in touch, and often reflect on that lunch.

AGREE

I am a little doubtful when some folk say
'your living a lie' by not readily comming out ..to all & sundry
by / my experience its not a sensible move
also we differ widely in confidence, possibly thru upbringing etc
