As of April 21st I am officialy a married woman! I posted pictures of the wedding and our honeymoon (nothing X-rated) in my gallery. I have to say that it was the happiest day of my life and it has only gotten better since. We have been together for five and a half years so we were nearly married already but I do feel a new strength to our bond now that it's official. Something about declaring our love to each other in front of all our friends and family was just magical; that is the only word I have to describe it- magical.

May you both be blessed
With the strength of heaven,
The light of the sun and the
Radiance of the moon,
The splendor of fire,
The speed of lightning,
The depth of the sea,
The swiftness iof wind,
The stability of earth,
And the firmness of rock.

Congratulation, Epistasia.

You look as happy as a bride and groom should be on their wedding day! I'm 5 years (2 kids) into my marriage now, and it keeps getting better every year. In marriage, the whole is definitely stronger than the sum of the parts, so enjoy the happiness that it brings.

Allow me to offer an old Irish blessing...

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.
My father said this to me when I got married, and I say it for every newly married couple, whenever opportunity rises. God bless, and congratulations.

It's funny, I had never heard that until our wedding day. My hubby is the first in his family that isn't 100% Irish, he's only the second generation born in the US. At our reception I got that blessing from every one of his relatives, it was precious. The best was from his drunk uncle who was simultaneously trying to grab my ass and bless us, LOL!

Thanks all for the kind words. I never had a positive image of marraige till I met my man. He helped me change my whole life and showed me how amazing two people coming together as one can be.
