Been reading for awhile, just thought I'd drop a hello out there..

just moved out to Los Angeles to start med school, so it's pretty dominating my time, and LA isn't known the best for meeting friends beyond the surface, so I thought I'd throw my hat out to the board in general and to anyone in LA.

30, 5'9" 175, pretty much just a quiet guy that grabs a movie in or out and into the whole workout fitness lifestyle over bars and clubs.

So any hellos are welcome and if you're in LA, even better :)

A hearty welcome to LPSG. Doctors with your orientation are needed in the practice of medicine. Work hard to get that MD degree!

Well the goal is to meet quality people .. not the material driven or hook ups... yeah in LA that'd be easy.. but I'm more the LTR orientated type.. doesn't fly much in the scene out here with so many games.

And I'm in a DC program... so pretty much exactly the same, cept more anatomy, less drugs and no residency since I've picked the specialty from the get go.

thanks for the kind words and compliments -blush-

Great looking physique, bud, and nothing wrong with showing the world how much you work for it. I love LA -- spent and entire summer out there on my own years ago -- but now I can only visit once or twice a year at most. Venice Beach is the best unless u like to surf.

IMO go to Orange County for friends -- IN GENERAL the people there are more "real" and more interested in relationships of depth than in Hollywood and its surrounding areas. The Valley isn't too bad either.

Another suggestion, find a gym that caters to the male population in general (not just to gays) and you'll obviously find dudes with at least lifting in common. Some of the friendliest guys I met were gym rats who will encourage you in your gains.
Good luck in your transition and I'm excited for you.
