You're the first woman who's ever told me that!

Ah-hem!
Still off topic.
I'm articulate with words, but I tend to sometimes act like English is my second language, I think JonB would elaborate, but hey, it's all very cool, as long as we understand what we are saying! Where's telepathy when you need it?

On topic:
A good attitude to live by is "I wont diss yours if you don't cuss mine." OK?

7x6andchg: Well, DMW - it is purely a statistical aberration if it's outside the 2nd standard deviation, if I remember my college stats course. Although your use of "exceptional" is, as you point out, much prettier and certainly less likely to carry an implication or cause an inference of any derogatory meaning.

And Val - although I did know English was your second language you certainly don't speak it like it is. I have found in learning other languages that one often learns the grammatical ins and outs of the language better than one's own. Vocabulary, on the other hand, can be difficult to master, even with time... :)

That said...back on topic..my understanding was that 7" was beyond the 2nd deviation and as such would statistically qualify as big "in the real world" where such studies are done. *puts on internet research cap*

According to one thing I've seen on the internet - 92.5% of men are 7" or less in length and 95.6% men are below 6 inches in girth. Now - of course, this is a survey taken with goodness knows what all technique, and so on and so on - but it seems pretty close to me. 50% of men are between 5.25 and 6.25 inches long and between 4.75 and 5.25 inches around. That seems reasonable to me..

Now then, the Lifestyles survey, which was measured by nurses (instead of self-report) had an average of 5.9 and 66% of men within 5.1 - 6.2" in length. 75% of men were 4.5 - 5.5 inches around, with the average at 4.75" The sample was 300 men.

So - statistically, as I've always said, 7" is large - not huge, but large... I'll leave it to the statistics majors... ;)

And of course - a native speaker will always know their language far better than I ever will be able to (even though I usually consider my self fairly advanced...)

I never intended to suggest that your English is deficient; I hope you didn't infer such. In fact, your command of English is better than many of the native speakers here! I think that my objection is more a matter of nuance than of strict definition. I hope you took no offense; none was intended.

BTW ... I'm not a native speaker of English, either. My native language is Spanish, but English has been my daily language since moving to the US ten years ago.

Valkyrie: DMW - no offense taken. It is from discussions like these that you pick up even more of a language - nuances, expressions, reactions to what you say.

7X6&C - depending on the study you'll find that 7" is either just at the border of two standard deviations from the mean, or just below the border. I guess the jury is still out on that one and unless a comparatively large survey is made we'll never know the true answer.

7x6andchg: Well that's very true - and goodness knows I don't think such a study is in the works...

We also should hope they don't want many of us to participate. Might skew things just a wee bit. ;)
