You have to differentiate Islam, Muslim, Arabs, and muslim countries. Islam and muslim in general do not recognize kingship and kingdom, but arabs and KSA do.

Put simply, no I don't.

Lets separate the things for the sake of your argument you make.

Progressivate gay rights where Islam is the majority mainstream faith?
Progressives gay rights where Muslims make up the statistical majority in said region?
Progressive gay rights in locations where arabs are the statistical majority?

See a pattern emerging yet?

Cue response about Jamaica or Uganda, and Christians. I oppose those atttitutdes and will happily debate those. You probably do too. But the point I'm making here, is why does one faith (arguably the most hostile and dangerous) get a free pass? Get to avoid scrutiny, to the some degree more than others?

My own Country, the UK has taken data on this, and it's not all smiles and rainbows.
We give them freedom, choice, safety more so then their own countries.

They repay us by more than half believing we should be in prison.

Rights can be given. They can be taken away. Prime example being marriage equality in California before the Supreme Court made its choice to support equality. When I'm shouted down for being racist, like the last muppet that spoke - I'm being told I'm not to have an opinion, or to vocalise it at least. What if the gay people that came before us didn't speak out? Would we have the benefits we have today? I'm so disenfranchised in the mainstream gay people of western regions. What the fuck has happened?

I'm not remotely ashamed. I'm incredibly proud actually.

For years gay people have been silenced, and oppressed. Unlike liberal, intersectional wankers I oppose oppression directed towards me and other gay people. If you're a right wing evangelical American or a person of Muslim faith, I have the right to speak up for myself. To counter their arguments, and the oppression and hostile environment they create for me and people like me.

That there is the difference. The "queer" community will only target the Christian Americans, and remain silent when the topic of Islam comes up.

Oh and as far as "racist" being used - who mentioned race? I'm critical of religion, which is a set or ideas, a belief system. Your mind saw Islam and conflated it instantly with "brown people". You've only demonstrated you have little understanding of words and definitions. But thanks for playing part in throwing gay people over the bridge, as long as we appear progressive, eh?

You are tarring an entire religion and people with the same brush and then demanding tolerance and equality.
Your vitriolic nonsense is nothing but ignorant racism. There's no argument to be had.
Moderate christian westerners through history have inflicted horrendous acts against those of different ethnicities and religions, are you also ready to denounce them as being equally demonic?

You make sweeping judgements on the whole of Islam, but only on the extremes of Christianity. Do you realise that the huge majority of muslims couldn't give a damn where you put your dick.

Grow up.

I pointed out the blame you place on Christianity, whilst giving Islam a free pass.

You responded by blaming Christianity and giving Islam a free pass.

"Do you realise that the huge majority of muslims couldn't give a damn where you put your dick".
- this must be why the countries they are the majority in, are quite literally criminalising gay people for where they put their dicks. Reports are contrary to this "fact" you just gave. You didn't do a very good job of demonstrating otherwise.

Degerate and comical.
Still don't understand racism either.

No post has made me happier on here than this one! Kudos to you, Jake, for speaking up and speaking out. Now, I'm not pigeonholing all Christians just like I'm not pigeonholing all Muslims either. But I too cannot grasp this hypocrisy of denouncing one religion yet insisting on tolerance for another. It's not intolerant to voice your opposition to a religion which calls for your head on a platter, according to certain radical interpretations.

It's why I can't fathom how some gay allies, like extremely liberal people (sometimes white, because like Jake said, it's actually more racist to assume it's "just the brown people") who fully supported gay marriage, can now say they've turned to Islam. So what does this mean? You're just interested in some of the general morals, but in a modern Americanized sense where you are still my ally? Or have you delved as deeply as radical Christians have in declaring us abominations and saying we don't deserve to be married and/or raise children? It's just ironic seeing LGBTQ+ marching in a pride parade saying stop Islamophobia because we don't wanna hurt their feelings and we want our nations to protect us from SHARIA FUCKING LAW, yet these same people marching would be thrown off the first roof the instant they step into one of ISIS's countries.

All you white gays need to get a grip. You aren't the most oppressed people, you never have been. Get over yourselves.
It's so pathetic how people with no other forms of rebuttal continually attempt to redirect this RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION issue into a race dilemma. Try to focus.

You are not alone in the Western World.I am one of those old farts from the early 70's that marched and were beat up in the South. We do need to stand up to Islamic homophobia just like we do with so called Christians .I have a muslim business partner he doesn't have these religious beliefs but they are there

Can you pin point anywhere in the responses anybody claimed white gays are the most oppressed?

Yeah, I'll wait...

You don't have to wait. Everything you are saying makes you look like a whiny little bitch. And you tried to act like you aren't white to refute my point. Live your truth so no-one can use your truth against you
Bye x

Weak response. The only person here behaving "whiny" is you. Your desperate little attemlt to make things into a race issue.

To satisfy your curiosity, I'm biracial, not white. Sorry this doesn't fit your agenda.

Jake1989x is a perfect example of how media has shaped his opinions. It's not really his fault his only references are newspapers or things he's seen on the news. He hasn't bothered to speak to Muslims or people in their communities to see what they really think.

That same mindset has contributed to homophobia, racism and xenophobia amongst other things.

I don't know Mr.Trudeau but I believe the statement he was making was that of acceptance and inclusion in Canada where Muslims and gays live side by side.
This is the last I'm going to comment on this.
