Yeah I like the guy's music, but he has shown little class in his public outings.
I thought the classiest act of the whole night went to Beyonce, who brought Taylor Swift back out to redo her speech when she won an award.

Beyonce looked aghast when Kanye was up there. I mean it was just "female video of the year." It's like Kanye forgot his own video was up for "Video of the Year" as well as Beyonce's video. So why was he pissed off???
I don't believe for five minutes that was about Beyonce. I believe he expected Beyonce to win "Female Video of the Year" b/c if Beyonce won that one - then Kanye has a shot at winning "Video of the Year."
So in his self-serving little mind, he's bitching about Beyonce losing an award, instead of bitching about himself.
The guy's a tool.
Beyonce is a class act, she accepted Video of the Year and let Taylor have her moment, which was awesome, it was Taylor's first award.
Kanye apparently got bounced and all the artists are pissed off about it:
Katie perry: "Fuck you Kanye. It's like you stepped on a kitten."

EDIT: Idolator has debunked this story and it appears it's the work of a The Onion-esque site that a few news outlet took seriously. Which I don't blame them considering this was the most believable thing I've ever heard in my life.

well, i think i see why Kanye must get so worked up at these shows...
i was looking on getty images that had images from the show, and dude is standing out on the red carpet holding a huge bottle of what looks like scotch or chivas or something (don't know my booz)...thing is huge, and then he is taking swigs of it while they take his picture, then he is inside the arena with it...
i think he was hammered...just go to getty images and do a search for Kanye...

he did the same thing a few years ago when Justice Vs Simian's video for we are you friends (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0TvnWRSyr4) beat His, touch the sky (YouTube - Kanye West - Touch The Sky: MTV Version, Closed Captioned) apparently his video cost him a million Dollars. which as you can see, was no where near the budget for the Justice vid.
Kanye is no longer a child. He embarrassed himself mightily when Katrina hit as well. It is a shame that he hasnt reached the maturity level to control himself but I suggest he talk to a counselor about it before it totally tanks his career.

I can not speak to that but from what I have been seeing lately he is trying to really comply with what is being asked of him . I am sure he probably will never forget the consequences of a temper out of control. He and Rihanna are young, with that often comes the stupidity of hubris and mega drama. From what I have heard she also goaded him mightily. They both need to grow up. My dad told me early on not to provoke guys because you never know when one has not be raised as you have not to hit women. I never forgot it. It is just a good policy for everyone to keep their hands to themselves.
