Daniel,

That once again is a sweeping generalization. There are lots of gay people who have affirming families and many black people who do not . As was stated If you are visibly different it is right out there where one can not hide. I do understand that gay men and lesbian women through history have experienced isolation and hatred, but like it or not it has not had the same effects that racial discrimination have .

a gay son would feel alone before he came out to his family, a black son would have a family already knowing and accepting him for being black

erm...
i think in 'polite' society racism is unwelcomed to say the least, if i were in a pub and someone started using the word 'nigger' to describe something negative they'de get the shit beaten out of them, to be homophobic however, is totally ok and the term 'gay' is used to describe bad tasting food, a hard school test or if you cut your finger, its gay
:nopity:

'mom, im black'

'mom, im gay'

but i admit i make sweeping comments, but im an artist, we dont think. I havnt ment to offend anyone, although i dont think i said anytging perticullarly biting, i dont think there was really a point to what i said and the responces have certainly not answered the responce i was probing. i can take criticism

i do have a question thats really erm... contraversial i guess... its about how we see people,

if you ate at Mcdonalds and found a greasy pussy cyst in your chickenburger that pooped in your mouth, youd be sicked out and not eat there for a while. Now this has never ever happened to you in BK or Wimpy or whatever so you think it must be a McDonalds thing. if it happened again you'd be put off McDonalds for life, right.
If you live in a fairly white-bred community and you only really know 2 people who are non-white and they both, on seperate occasions robbed your house, would you feel that non-white people were bad? :wow:

i know i wouldn't, and i was thinking how many times i would get robbed or whatever before i would stop trusting people with darker skin than myself, and I honestly would never stop. Does this mean im inherently un-racist in the way that some people are racist? homophobia is a different sort of hate to racism i think, more of an insecurity style hate. racism just baffles me and sometimes i naivly ignore it, thinking that charlene sitting next to me has a reason for disliking Lieah from art class, always the last thought being that it is racial hate. it just seems like a 'little britain' sketch, a comic satire too silly to believe

Well, to proffer the prospect of being: inherently un-racist would mean to propound its counter, which is: innately racist. Once cannot be ‘innately racist’ or its opposition ‘inherently un-racist’. To own the truth, if it takes a village to rear a child then we are all born with, in a manner of speaking, a clean slate. It is what grasp and glean from our surroundings and experiences that we reflect in our attitudes and sentimentalities.

Talking about Kanye...
I noticed the other day, that in the very start of the "Stronger" video, you see him lie down, and it looks like he's got a very big bulge...

Kanye West is a dick about his ego and his career, but he hit the nail on the head about Bush and Katrina. Wake up! Bush is a disaster and the Republican party is a disaster for middle-class America as well as people of color. Someone has to have the guts to tell it! Screw the forum; just say it!

I don't hate KanYe West. Any man that can make Mike Meyers give pause after KanYe said "George BUSHhh doesn't care about BLACKk Peeple!!!!" during a televised fundraiser for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and its survivors...you gotta love that sort of disarm. Hehehe.

I can't stand his music (or any hip-hop for that matter), but I find his chipmunk cheeks kinda cute, but only when takes off his ever-present sunglasses.

Nothing wrong with hip hop except for the lyrical content. I remember when hiphop was party music and for break dancing. Nowadays, I don't relate to the messages of today's hip hop. It is an entirely different game than what it was in the eighties and nineties.

But I do like KanYe's visual styles. But the lyrics. Only KanYe could rap those off. I don't even like Rich Harrison...or EVEN The Neptunes...and Pharrell Williams. Any beginning musician coming up today could do what any of those peeps do.

Me? My lyrics are different. My songs are different. They are me.
