If you look at the history of the "K" family, the entire family operates as one giant publicity machine and then capitalizes on that publicity to generate money. The "K's" date back to the original publicity of Orenthal J. Simpson and he was not a winner either. It was the Simpson Saga that launched the publicity machine and the name Kardashian into the spotlight.
Those who care about or follow the Kardashians are the same individuals who religiously purchase the "National Enquirer", "Globe" and other tabloids and consider them news. These are people who based on their own circumstance at present have no life, so they sadly are forced by their circumstance to live their life or lives through a bunch of arrogant, conceited and self serving/absorbed ultra wealthy publicity machine creations.
Like all creations of publicity machines they tend to have short lives. They create situations to repeatedly place themselves in the media and do so to maintain their celebrity status. Some celebrities do this deliberately and some do it out of stupidity and or accidentally.
The Kardashian machine is simply not newsworthy, and the question to me would be if the husband in this case knew from the start that his marriage to a Kardashian was simply a fancy of the moment and a manner in which a Kardashian can accomplish self promotion. See their system is that if they keep their celebrity status they get others to pick up the tab for their lavish lifestyles. Benefactors pay for commercial endorsements , phoney cosmetic lines that the person with the name in fact had nothing to do with, and other products that are then marketed because the publicity machine gives them a high ranking social status.
Very recently, we watched a similar situation in a long distance acquaintance in Houston, Texas. The daughter of this family went out and without hesitation spent over $10,000 on a High School Prom Dress. This dress to be used for a single event.
To the very wealthy, game playing, and social manipulation are just tools of their trade.
