Breast implants far more important than remembering 9/11... they did run the west coast version with the remembrance in it.

Sometimes with the media you have to wonder who the hell makes the decisions.

Says the non-American guy in Germany. It shows a lack of respect by NBC News for a tragic event in American history in which thousands of innocent people died. By the way 11 Germans died in the attack.

urm, i kinda agree with the non-american german guy.

want a moment of silence, turn off the TV and reflect on the loss.
to the family of folks who die, and how the world changed after.

actually give a shit.. do something charitable in the names of all the folks who died then and since.

Go easy on Perados, he's a pragmatic person who speaks bluntly. Don't mark that for a lack of sympathy or empathy.

and thats why i cant have an opinion? - it doesnt shows anything expect, that NBC is a company, with the goal to earn money.

11 germans died, has it to touch me more then 11 death french, english or americans? - no, i dont know them.
its sad that so many people died and its fine that you want to start a moment of silence to remember them.
BUT its up to everyone self, if you want to be silent.
do you think, apple had stoped to sell their i phones or AT&T had stoped every call? no, i doubt they did... so who cares for NBC, they did nothin wrong. they offered everyone who doenst want to be silent an option

could be one of my problems :biggrin1::biggrin1::biggrin1:
but your right

Fair enough - I guess for an event that has so significantly impacted our way of life, I have an expectation of the media to honor a moment of silence for those who died versus running a story on the Kardashians and boob jobs.

Just something a person has to get used to, nothing wrong with being honest. I think this event, 9/11, affects more people emotionally than other hollidays in the US, so bluntness is bound to stike a nerve.

my problem wouldnt be, that they broadcast them at 10am at 9/11, but that they show it in general...
and to honor, they have to stop their program? its just a company, they dont have feelings, it would be just PR if they did... and why only the media? - why arent you pissed about AT&T? if you compare AT&T and NBC, i would blame AT&T more then NBC...

I wouldn't include AT&T in this because they're not broadcasting television coverage to their customers. There were plenty of memorial events throughout the country that observed moments of silence that the broadcast media covered. A simple cut away for one minute to show one of those ceremonies would be appropriate. Which, somebody pointed out earlier, they did in the west coast re-broadcast.

and thats my general problem, to combine emotions and nation...
if you arent suffering at 9/11 you arent an american.
start to change your view, not americans died but people died, suffer for them but dont make it a national thing for eternity. - i understand the way america / americans reacted after 9/11, but please come down from your nationalism that crawls in every part of your sociaty.

i defenetly would.
NBC offered a passive service - you could be silent while watching the boobs show.
AT&T offered an active service - if you use it, you are defenetly not silent.

and nearly all media showed these events? - it would be stupid to broadcast what everyone shows. and if you wanna see it, switch the channel

and maybe it was just a technucal problem, why they didnt showed it at the east coast...

I don't know your experience, but for many that day shook them and their feelings of safety and security forever. For many it is the event which defined the next 10 years of war and deep division in our nation. No one is compelled to feel any way about 9/11 in America, they are just reminded year after year of the day that broke their belief in the invincibility of our country.

Some people make it nationalistic, most are introspective of how the day affected them and changed their views on many topics.
