I'm saying the claim "the vast majority of illegal aliens are felons" is a cynical scare tactic. It conjures fears of all kinds of dangerous criminal activity, when all it really means is that illegal aliens are illegal aliens.

Oh and I agree. The point I was trying to make is that of the "recent vast increase" involves felons, gang members, and previously deported people. It's not like they're stopping people on the street and checking ID's.
