I can't believe this is allowed. A christian couple in the UK, who refused entry a at their hotel to a gay couple were fined on the ground of discrimination. So if true this seems too blatant. Surely the lgbt groups would be in this already and bring the company down!

This. I think the pic is shopped or something, It seems unlikely they'd be able to discriminate based on sexuality even if the CEO or whoever wanted to make it company policy, I doubt their lawyers would allow them to do something so stupid. All it would take is one person to file a lawsuit and the enitre company would get shut down or fined or whatever they do over there. It seems ridiculous.

I think it may have been shopped. This is a link to their internship. In the fine print it says they cannot discriminate by law. According to thier site it says "Chick-fil-A, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in employment decisions based on any factor protected by federal, state or local law."

I also think this has been photochopped.

That doesn't change my opinion of chik-fil-a, however. I don't eat any members of Mamalia or Avies, and I think potatoes taste disgusting, so it's not like I would eat at chik-fil-a anyway, and therefor boycotting isn't really an option for me. If it were, however, I would. I encourage all of my friends and coworkers to boycott them as well.

If it turns out that the image has not been altered (unlikely), then I'm sure it won't be long before there is no longer a chik-fil-a at NYU.

I will not eat there anymore although I doubt if my boycott will affect their business.

I recently heard of a male couple going into a Dollar General store in Hamilton, AL and one asked about employement. When they left the cashier really made her belief about homoesexuals known very loudly to all remaining customers. Not saying this about the stores hiring policy, but I would have certainly dismissed the employee or told her to keep her fucking opinion to herself.

While they are genuinely homophobic, I do think the sign/leaflet is a hack-job. It seems like a parody that people like Jon Stewart or The Chaser team would come up with. Genius but probably not real.

Why not? Isn`t everything allowed in the land of democracy?

There was a gay guy that worked at the chick-fil-a at the university I went to. The company won't franchise to non-Christians, but I HIGHLY doubt they have an anti-gay clause anywhere in their paperwork. Probably photoshopped by some gay activist. Those kind of questions aren't allowed by law, I'm willing to bet the company knows that

They aren't refusing to serve gay people, they can't do that. But most states in the US allowed people to be fired at will, for no reason, so if you don't like gay people you can fire the person if you suspect or find out that they are gay. They don't have any restaurants in California and I would bet that at least in some areas job discrimination on basis of sexual preference is illegal.

I've never eaten Chick-fil-a the name alone always made me feel sick I would envision them using fillers and chicken feet and beaks. Now an added reason to never eat their stuff.

It's by far the best fast food chicken out there. Not "healthy" but their chicken is definitely higher quality than any other fast food chain chicken. I think I'm going to go there for lunch right now. 12 piece chicken nugget with extra Polynesian sauce and a side of waffle fries. My mouth is watering. Must have grease now

If I didn't know the story, I might join you. But I'd rather starve than eat their food. There are too many good alternatives.
