He never made any official statement, but yes, his not-so-hidden actions tell quite a story. I get it though. . . . He was a prominent leader in the church world, having gained his popularity largely from his story of "leaving the gay lifestyle behind." Hitting a wall that far down the road isn't exactly something to brag about. I've experienced a similar situation and it's incredibly humiliating to swallow your own words.
