Correct on that one.
I don't watch Fox or MSNBC period.
Food Network and a good Football Game covers my use of the Idiot Box.
Which makes your suggestions about what could be going on with MSNBC null and void. But I know that won't shut you up so go on and embarrass yourself.
Suspended Friday. Off today (Monday) and back on the air Tuesday.
That is a long weekend for people who work for a living.
No shit, Sherlock. You don't need to have a job to know this. However, please don't imply that I don't have one. You should know better what that will lead to.
Well, LIKE DUH!
My point exactly.
Suspend him for a few days
Make the news
Get all his supporters rallying.
Please... if they wanted to make a bigger impact, he would have been suspended for a LONGER period of time. That would have allowed the news organizations, pundits (and the "employed" who love to dream up conspiracy theories) more time for the info to fester. This came by and went so quickly it was like nothing really happened. Besides, his show doesn't even air on the weekends.
Guess what?
More people will watch Tuesday night to see what he says.
No they won't. MSNBC will still have the same ratings as before. Again, look at the track record. When it comes to cable television news ratings, Faux has always been on top (considering that they're the only network that panders to the right). This will do nothing substantial to MSNBC's ratings because people who watch the network (unlike yourself) will do so regardless of who is doing the hosting. Hence why Laurence O'Donnell was so successful at maintaining the ranks during Olbermann's extended absence earlier this year that he now has his own show.
(Check Neilson since you have the link and are such a big numbers guy)
It was a Wikipedia link, and I don't give two shits about Nielson ratings.
But I am about the numbers because it dispels the bullshit that is spread by hyper-cynics such as yourself. Kinda hard to argue against mathematics, eh?
Hard for you to comprehend that such a left wing propaganda machine like MSNBC is actually a business that tries to turn a profit.
Now implying that I'm stupid? Fuck off, son. I'm in the entertainment industry. You don't know this shit like I do. Everyone's in it for a profit, but for how much? That's the thing you don't seem to grasp. MSNBC has been content to move along with the same roster (with very little changes) for years even though they have not been able to get the number one spot in cable news ratings. That should be your clue that although a company is after a profit, they're not so money hungry that they'd do anything (and say anything) to make it happen.
Alas, you can't comprehend that some people in this nation aren't as fuckin' greedy as you.
Well I guess if their goal is NOT to be #1, they are an overwhelming success.

Olberman is MSNBC's top rated show. And Greta Van Susteren beats him in a later hour! Embarrassing.
And Adult Swim beats the both of them. What does that say about our Nation?

Besides, MSNBC doesn't need television ratings as most people who get news from that source do it online. That's reflected in unique web hits and links on monthly website tallies all the time. Here's the latest results -
Top 15 Most Popular News Websites
Faux is 8th on that list.
CNN & MSNBC are #2 and #3 respectfully. Even the Huffington Post (which isn't even a television network) lists higher than Faux. Which kinda tells me that people who want liberal news are more savvy in obtaining it, whereas most Faux viewers are scared of technology and would rather plan their lives around the television set like if an episode of "My Three Sons" and the "Laurence Welk Hour" still airs. Kinda explains why they're able to get a lot of the old people to believe the nonsense about Health Care Legislation, eh? And if you want me to really twist the facts, it kinda explains why there's a problem with obesity in the Southern States where they primarily vote Conservative. Guess you have to watch something on TV while eating that big plate of food, eh?
With all of the times I've decimated the "television ratings" argument around here, Lord only knows why you'd be stupid enough to bring it up AGAIN. Try something else, OK?
A "conspiracy" that a business might try to increase its profits.
Unheard of!
No... a conspiracy theory dreamed up by an idiot such as yourself because for some reason you still can't seem to grasp that some people don't think your political views are what we should be following. WOW, completely unheard of!!
Since you have trouble when you read my posts taking 2 + 2 and coming up with 4, just ask and I'll explain it for you.
I already did. Now, when you're done with your elementary math homework you can come sit at the table with the rest of the adults, OK?
