Well, one bit the dust...but I don't think its what we wanted....

They Claim that he died of a Massive heart attack, but I would bet money that it was murder.

Kenny Boy as Shrub And Co refers to him, would have testified against the white house, and mainly our oh so wonderful Dicky Boy Cheney for being behind it all.

This happens shortly after Bush launches his bank account scans.
Isn't it so peculiar that these things work hand in hand?

So, looks like the crooks win again, since theres nobody to testify now against them, and the cook, butcher, banker, wife, coroner, and neighbors in on the deal.
It's such a grossly huge amount of money, that anyone in on it would be stupid to open their mouths.

    Sad Sad day for america.

Ken Lay had it coming, not saying he deserved it, but I'm sure a lot of the former employees of Enron that lost their pensions aren't losing any sleep over it.

Wonder if he had any life insurance? If so, I wonder if the benefit will be confiscated and paid out to shareholders who lost their life savings due to his, and his cronies', greed and corruption?

Nah, I doubt it. I'm such a cynic.

I'd like to see some guerilla media coverage of an exhumation of his body a week after the funeral to see if the casket is empty. I wonder what island he is chilling out on right now.

No shit, that was exactly what I was thinking when I saw it on the news.

I won't lose any sleep over him being dead, but not having him testify is a big win for bushco.

I think a little cynicism is justified in this case.

yeah, way too convenient to be real. this had to be either murder, suicide, or faked - and i think it's pretty clear which is the most likely.

i guess justice just got plausibly denied. again.

Riiiiiiiiiiight... not that Enron got away with all this during a Clinton era of false accounting. Where was the SEC then, and who appointed said SEC Chairmen?

P.S. Halliburton wants to eat your babies. (via no-bid contracts)

To steal a line from Douglas Adams, he's just spending a year dead for tax purposes.

Said he suffered a massive stroke. Probably at the impending dread of being used like a human toilet by El Salvadorian gang members.

In most U.S. states (not sure about Colorado or Texas, the latter probably being operative), life insurance would be available to the unsecured creditors before going to the beneficiary. However, it is my understanding that such is not the case in Florida. Most annuity-type assets are not leviable by creditors in Florida, which is the ONLY reason O.J. Simpson resides in Florida. Also, lottery winners often try to run to Florida so they can enjoy their lottery winnings while stiffing their creditors.
