Kit Connor

It’s behind the scenes content, so he’s technically not portraying the character here. He’s just him.
The mods still made it clear that it shouldn't be posted either and any content of the show is best to avoid posting because of the many issues it has brought to the threads

They only make a stink of it if people make them aware of it because then they have to pretend to care and do something. If people don't play pretend-mod or "tattletale" everything is fine. Ffs if BTS footage of grown adults is wrong then pics and clips from press tours and award shows would also be a no-go. Jfc that meme of Steve Buscemi with the skateboard is by definition against the rules but a great example of how silly that rule can be.

FWIW there are already pics of him in those same shorts taken at the same time buried in the over 300 pages of this thread without issue.

The issue is that this thread attracted a lot of annoying fangirls that would report anything they didn't like, and so it pissed off the mods having constant reports, so they because really harsh with this thread. All it takes is those fangirls popping up again and the thread will end up getting locked from too many reports

Fine. And the very first page most people will see sets the tone and rules of this thread.. But I think you agree that there is nothing wrong with those two pictures posted above. And there hasn't been in the past for other pics from that same day and situation.

So basically what I'm saying is that screaming when someone breaks a rule and screaming reminding people to not break a rule still makes noise. So save the effort for when something "bad" actually happens. Repeatedly bringing attention to how potentially problematic a thread could be might just as easily result in it getting locked preemptively. 🤷 ✌️

Yeah you’re right. Technically any images of John Travolta from Grease (1978) are against the rules lol . Meanwhile over in the Tom Holland thread there’s hundreds of images of teen Peter Parker shirtless and in underwear and nobody bats an eyelash. Wonder why

There's also a lot of Timothée Chalamet from CMBYN, it's not consistent because it's only enforced when reported.

I agree with you but the pedantic nerd in me must acknowledge that Buscemi is playing a grown adult sneaking into a high school and imitating a teenager as an example of their prior investigations. It's like a reference to 21 jump street.

So I think technically it wouldn't count cause he's still an adult in canon.

People just don’t like being told “no” these days.

The rules are the rules. They are put there by the people in charge of the board. They don’t feel excessively restrictive to me. It shouldn’t be that big of a deal :)
This is for everyone...
I'll just say this, if you go afoul of a rule you don't understand or have issues or you don't run afoul and have questions or issues with a rule, you can discuss it with mods. Do it politely and professionally and be brief and concise as possible with your explanation of your reasoning as well as have any proof or back up information available. You'd be surprised at how far you'll get with most of the staff. They often agree with you and are trapped by having to respond to complaints or reports without question or research. This is " guilty until proven innocent" to protect people and themselves legally. That will NOT change. Some accusations, hot button topics like this thread, and the rules around them must be acted upon immediately regardless of any unfair collateral damage. However, discussing them with staff after the fact is quite alright as long as you aren't a dick about it and are wasting their time.

Remember this is one of the threads that has a stand by kill switch and itchy trigger fingers on it. This is with good reason. They KNOW lots of complaints are overly sensitive and frivolous at lot of the time. They know we're caught in the crossfire and they know it's shitty but they don't really have any other other choice, at least not yet. Think of a solution and submit it, if you'd like change. You might think of something they haven't.
