It's difficult to find a good masseur or bodywork in NYC other than word of mouth. I'm looking for a real pro who knows structural adjustment and how to help my body recover after intense stress and training... Any recommendations would be appreciate ;)

Thanks man but I was hoping for a more personal recommendation for a specific masseur. Those masseur sites are very hit and miss, especially since not all the guys these are actually trained and it's mostly a happy ending kind of directory.

Can't offer a specific recommendation but friends of mine go to the Russian Baths on East 12th Street. On Sunday mornings it is men only. There are several licensed massage therapists there. I think you can have a half hour session for $30. If you can try a couple of different ones over a few visits and see what you think. Some do work outside the Baths, so maybe you can work something out with therapist.

Russian bath's is a hit or miss but thanks for the tip. Then there all these websites with ads of guys who give massage + but it seems like most are semi-escorts (not placing a judgment call on it but that's not what I'm looking for, unless of course they are foremost great at real legit bodywork)... Bodywork is a tough business i guess....
