Yeah, I gave up on film and went digital when the electronics in my SLR got unreliable a few years ago. Should have stuck to manual cameras!
I've been scanning some old slides (Fujichrome, actually, but how long will that be around?) and the colours and subtle lighting effects are stunning, even when digitised.
I used to work in the photofinishing industry about 20 years ago. I got out because I knew what was coming with the invention of digital cameras. Thank God I did. Polaroid bit the dust last year with its instant cameras because of digital cameras. Kodak and many other large scale film developers have closed up thier photofinishing operations because of digital cameras as well.
Speaking of which-what exactly should I do now with my 45 record of Kodachrome? Will its value increase enough to take it to Antiques Roadshow or sell on e-bay?
