Korean Spa

I’m visiting the nyc this weekend and was thinking of going to spa castle in queens. How has it been lately on weekend mornings? Crowded? What’s typical age group/demographic of guys? Are people comfortable being nude? Any straight guys or mostly gay/bi? Anyone planning on going?

I haven't gone through the entire thread, but haven't seen any mention of Havana Spa in the Denver metro area. I've been there a few times and, although it's discouraged, have seen and participated in some play time. Made eye contact with a younger guy in the dry sauna, but when it got too crowded he followed me into the steam room. I started giving him a HJ and ended up being watched by a guy that purposely moved closer to the action. He came fairly quickly, got up and left. The guy next to me watched as I licked my hand clean. Only other time I had any action a guy walked over and started sucking on my flaccid dick. Before it could get interesting, others walked in and we stopped. I haven't seen too much of the workers checking on activity, although there are signs up saying any sexual activity is prohibited.

Check out Lake Steam Baths on Colfax. If you go into the steam room there are always guys playing with themselves. Usually it leads to people giving handjobs to each other. A few times I have seen guys blowing each other, but that is more rare.

If you get a massage, they are nude and undraped. Some therapists will give you a happy ending, but not all. While they have signs up saying no inappropriate activity, if you aren't blatant about it, nothing happens to those who are playing.

I made it out to Wi Spa this past weekend after a night of St patty day drinking. I think it is awesome it’s open 24 hours. It was great to go straight to the spa for hours. Facilities are great. There was a good mix of people even at 2 or 3 am. I like to see the mix of penis sizes . I land above average in the mix, but there was a very well hung black guy who liked to show off, he definitely stood out size wise.

overall a good spa day.

It was good not great. When I have time I will write out a comparison on spa castle vs king spa.
I would have liked to have joined you but had a previous commitment. Would love to hear more, as I've never been to King

You know, so many gay people gather formally and informally in these places that hate us for being who we are. Some will lie on us. Some will create dangerous situations for us. Many may come on here to downplay it.

What we need are clean unhomophobic Korean styled bath houses, for us and by us. I don’t mean baths with the smell of open ass and deep inner gut feces, I mean a building of multiple saunas and a place to meet new people.

My thought for doing this was one that has beautiful stone saunas along the wall with regular gym equipment down the middle. The locker room would be the same as any at a jjimjilbang.

In 2017, before Covid inflation and during the week, I saw a print out of a midweek week daily gross income. It was $57,000. By now it’s easily $100,000 per weekday and $300,000 per weekend day.

This same concept can be turned into a high end monthly subscription. People would drop them like a hot potato and flock to something cheaper that they could do daily.

I would definitely DONATE my own money to that project if that occured somewhere in Los Angeles County.

We could add a location marker on the Sniffies app for that Korean styled gay bathhouse.

Maybe build it close to DTLA, ktown, or anything south of the Hollywood Hills.

I wish we could crowdfund that idea.

Yeah, there are gay bathhouses specifically for that purpose.

Korean spas are meant to be a social space safe for children and families. Why do people insist on misappropriating them for their own use?

Some light play is fine — and if the circumstances are permitting, whatever more — but I wouldn't classify people getting kicked out for having full blown sex as homophobia.

If you want to start your own Korean styled sex club, cool. But you can't have it both ways — baths that don't "smell of open ass" but are also somehow squeaky clean. Good luck on that.

I kinda get where you're coming from but the point of a bath house is to bath, nothing more. It somewhere people of all ages to use, not a playground for men to mess around with each other in

The best part of families going is they that stop play in their tracks. Straight men will never feel comfortable in a kspa with all the cruising. It's a shame because girls bring their boyfriends and so many gays approprate the space. I thought we were me woke than that boys

I don’t

Socializing, not sexually like in a gay bath, is part of the whole jjimjilbang experience. Sex makes it smell bad. The problem at the mainstream places is the homophobia. For example, straight couples can cuddle in common areas, but gay customers who paid the same are prohibited from even touching.

Im only addressing the hatred aspect in this post. In the United States, there are enough pathways to capital that no one needs or has to tolerate other people’s hate. I understand that hate is a major part of the fabric of Korean society as in many others. But we have enough banks and supply chains to remedy and partition hate.

Straight men and gay men alike. Remember, not all gay men have public sex. And like myself, not all gay men are considered attractive. If I were to walk in on public sex, gay men disperse. That makes anyone uncomfortable.

I’m saying we need a place away from all of the hate and lies. A place to sauna and steam. What I’m saying isn’t far fetch, it’s an upscale gym from 1990 and before.

For example, right now, if you try to use a sauna at a popular big box gym, you smell everyone’s ass and feet. And if you get in the water, you swim in their ass and feet. 1990 and before, everyone was clean.

To experience pre1990 cleanliness, you have to pay $40 PER VISIT and encounter pure hostility while trying to relax. And if there is anal sex, it stinks in a different and worse way than at a big box gym.

Im saying gay people need a place to actually work out, relax, enjoy conversations. In all honesty, if it’s gay male, there’s really no reason why women wouldn’t be able to be nude with the men.

Not true. There are no clubs like that for gay people. None. Name one, you cannot because they don’t exist.

Korean families have a right to exist as they choose. I would almost say they should be allowed to bypass the civil rights act of 1964 to do so. What they don’t have a right to is the money of the people they hate. They also don’t have a right or entitlement to a monopoly or near 100 percent of market share.
Again, the thing we all have access in one way or another is finance whether via crowd funding, traditional investments, leveraging, or some other vehicle.

To the thing about gay baths for that purpose. I misread what what you wrote. I’ve stated that the current purpose or model of gay baths is sex. That’s wrong, what gays need is congregation, not sex.

You misread and I misread, please forgive me. The purpose is discussion of New jjimjilbang styled baths to replace the current ones AND gay baths primarily for gay men.

There’s no reason for any demographic to patronize businesses that hate them. Can you share any benefit in going somewhere you’re hated? Can you point to an example?

Then go to a gay bar. Or join a gay sports team. There are "gaymer" groups for those who enjoying playing video games. There are dozens of different ways for gays to safely and easily congregate in the US.

I agree, but clearly other people don't feel that way. Is there supposed to be a monolithic opinion here? As I said before, Korean spa owners are less driven by homophobia and more against inappropriate behavior.

Yes, the owners are typically more socially conservative and it sucks they prohibit cuddling by gay couples. But whatever? How often are people doing date night in a spa? From this thread I don't get the impression that's the primary draw.

SteamWorks, Clubhouse, The Locker Room, etc.

LOL! You are obviously a PR member of that industry.

I don't like gay bars and many who attend JJimjilbangs don't either. Keep your boxes, containers, and limitations to yourself. People are free to do whatever they want. If you are not a PR bobblehead for the Korean Spa Cartel, then continue going to whatever place hates you the most.

There is a demand for the service but the service comes with hate. The only remedy is for the market to decide.

Only a foolish person continues to surrender their money to someone who looks at it with contempt.
