He died 17 years ago. Why does anyone really care that he was, maybe, possibly, no one will ever know, bisexual ? The true measure of a person is how they live their life, not how you might want to label them. In my opinion, and your mileage may vary since you are free to form your own and disagree with me, he was a troubled soul, and a drug addict that put a shotgun to his head and left his wife and young daughter behind.
Yes, he died 17 years ago, but he remains a potent cultural force. Teenagers who were in diapers when he died are wearing "Nirvana" t-shirts. He championed gay causes at a point when it wasn't as trendy as it is today. PLUS.... this is a sexual forum. So, from my perspective, the question makes sense. And, yes, he was a very troubled soul. Everyone knows that. (One reason he was troubled was because in high school he was bullied and called "gay.")
