what I'm saying is mate is that if you think you have a dodgy heart then i wouldnt try these supplements. You do what you like mate but saw this on the article mentioned and thought it would be wise to make people aware. Like I said do what you like!

Guys,

L- Arginine should be taken on an empty stomach as it is had for the gut to digest. Not only is it good for the pecker but for all your vessels.

I'm going to ask my herb doc about these. He's generally for natural supplementation. (That is, if he doesnt find somethng else that will boost T-levels)

Anyone think some brands are better than others? I take NSI now and don't notice any effect at all. The nature's bounty one i noticed its effect.

be careful about ingesting anything with soy in it. Soy will make your body produce more estrogen, which will fuck you up sexually.

I got some from Amazon.com, the brand was "NOW Foods". Been taking around 2.5g/day for 10 days and for the first time ever I have pre-cum. My wife will sometimes grab my penis at night while we're falling asleep...not really a sexual thing just a sort of closeness/intimacy thing since we're both often very tired by bedtime. She did this last night and I got a semi-erection and some drops of precum were very noticeable. Erections are definitely more intense too. I also take pumpkin seed oil capsules which make the prostate very happy it seems.

i just started taking the NO2 brand at 2 grams a day, less than they recommend. I have been getting fantastic results. My dick is hanging longer, my erections are out of control and my libido is through the frikin roof. I just hope this effect doesn't wear off. The only problem is I'm getting huge erections in class. The other day I just sat in my seat for almost ten minutes after pinching myself hoping my monster would tame itself, haha.

like all supplements it takes time for them to build up in your body, i found that this amino acid really helped me recover after long work outs in the gym, and i don`t know if it was because of it opening your arteries (as i only found out recently ) and giving you a better pump ?, but i found that it also effected that i seemed to have a semi hard on all the time and i believe that my penis got bigger ?
Again this is my view but if you are looking for the correct dose, i would advise you look to the body building community for some advice.
and you need to take it on an empty stomach, i used to take mine in the middle of the night as i was also eating to gain weight and i had to eat every 2 and a half hours.
i have not used the supplement for years now and you are bound to find some new research on it some where on the web so all i can say is good luck with your research

L-Arginine has a significant role in nitric oxide formation and you may know this little molecule relaxes blood vessels (Viagra and Cialis.)
I can't recall who the Urologist is, by the way, who discovered this effect and the erection which follows (I'd have to google it) but his thinking (relax the blood vessels, smooth muscle tissue expands) was revolutionary at the time, and bang on. So was his demo: he whipped out his dick at a conference, injected it with whatever, and produced a rock-hard boner, proving his point. Hence, Viagra. Don't know whether he got a thundering ovation. :biggrin1:
Another fact (touched on here) - L-A is abundant in red meat but the best source is fish and poultry (something to do with inflammatory factors in meat.) It's claimed L-A helps reduce high BP and abnormal heart function, serum cholestrol and plaque formation (reduces LDL but not HDL), promotes HGH, combats infection (helps immune-system cells), helps improve memory function (I assume by increasing blood flow) - and, helps enhance libido and maintain erections. This is from a Natural Health Laboratory handout.
Doesn't sound too bad..

Probably Giles Brindley.

From Wikipedia:

Sir Giles Skey Brindley, GBE (born circa 1926) is a British physiologist and musicologist. He made important contributions to the treatment of erectile dysfunction[1], but is perhaps best known for an unusual scientific presentation at the 1983 Las Vegas meeting of the American Urological Association, where he removed his trousers to show the audience his chemically induced erection and invited them to inspect it closely[2]. He had injected himself with phenoxybenzamine, an alpha blocker, in his hotel room before the presentation.

As you see, Nyne, it wasn't Viagra that he injected, but he established the principle that erective dysfunction could be treated effectively with a drug.

i know someone who is on this and swears by it, never taken it but he looks great and has more energy than me, and he is older!

I have taken L-Arginine for a year. While I did believe at the time it made a difference, in all honestly it didn’t. In fact once I evaluated my diet I realised I was already taking considerable amounts of L-Arginine.

You are better off eating a big steak and it’s more enjoyable.
If you are looking to increase bloody flow

I would recommend the following:

Exercise – It doesn’t have to be a professional 6 hour workout. You can produce great results with an intense 15 minute full body circuit or a run round the block at a considerable speed. All these increase bloody flow.

Diet – No bad fats, no simple sugars, no artificial foods. All these reduce blood levels, clog your arteries and make you feel sleepy. Instead eat fresh fruit, nuts and veg, because they increase blood flow while delivering your body large amounts of vitamins and minerals.

However, if you feel that L-Arginine is producing results and making you happy while not causing you to be penniless then everybody’s a winner.

I just bought some L-Aginine yesterday and I started today by taking 1000 mg. Didn't notice a difference yet as it will take time to work. I took it before breakfast on an empty stomach. I exercised for about 2 hours afterwords and I felt the same. I jacked off when I got home from the Gym and I didn't notice much difference in erection or even more ejaculate. The bottle says you can take up to 6 pills a day or 3000 miligrams. I am on a bodybuilding diet and lifting weights 6 days a week. I am noticing that I am gaining some more weight along with muscle. It will take time I guess.
