Yes I would, and no, in most cases I don't think I could do it better. A partner's excitement is too much of a turn on.
Even if I could do it I probably wouldn't. Oral sex is such an intimate act, it would lose it's shine if I did it to myself.

That's a good point. In my experience, there've been plenty of times I've been on the receiving end of poorly performed fellatio, and any excitement over being blown was fairly well mooted by the shite head. On the other hand, the not knowing what the fellater is going to do next provides part of the thrill.
