Lean and slightly muscular for me, it shows he cares about his physique and health. I'm not into big bodybuilders at all, for some reason all that muscle is a turn off.

Good! I was beginning to think I was being singled out!
A lot of my weight training had to do with my years in the Navy when it's pretty difficult to play soccer on the Forecastle of a Ticonderoga class! However, we can put weights in some un-used fan room. After a while, it just becomes the prefered mode of working out because you know how to do it.

I play soccer now, but as my buddies point out, I tend to corner like an aircraft carrier! So I often play full back, and when I charge the ball, the opposing forward normally panics. (until they figure out I can't turn)

My earlier post was referring to the bodybuilders in the magazines, what Arnold Schwarzenegger used to look like. All those rippling muscles just doesn't do it for me. However Arnold does like very nice now that he's dropped alot of muscle and pounds. It sounds like you guys are similar to the current Arnold? If you are then you guys have smokin' bodies.

So is it officially only gay men that like huge bodybuilders? Not saying all gay men do but judging from your average (non-twink/bear) gay video a lot do. And if so many people like tall, slim, somewhat muscled guys how come nobody ever wants me?

I want you, does that count? :biggrin1:

My ex wife once referred to the extreme pumped and preening poses in the Mr Universe contest on ABC's Wide World of Sports. Her ascerbic commentary:

"Ewwww! It looks like they have turtles crawling under their skin!"

Something like it. Of couse, he wears better suits, but in the course of my day I'm almost always dressed in suit and tie.

But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't prefer looking more like a competitive bodybuilder. However, I simply don't have the time to invest in it.

So I'll probably never get much beyond 18 inch arms.

I grew up with a guy who was very into body building. I even injected him with steroids a few times. (I didn't know that's what I was giving him.) When I questioned him he told me it was a vitamin boost. Anyway, I remember his body before he started juicing, and he was a stunner. Drop dead, neck-breaking, gorgeous. His body was big, solid-looking, and his big muscles had a nice shape to them. But he was only the 52nd strongest man in America. Apparently, that wasn't good enough for him. After he started his injections, he got so big, I couldn't easily share the (twin) bed with him when we crashed at a mutual friend's hose after a party. When I got to the bed, he was on his back, and he took up nearly the entire width. His muscles had that look to them... you know the look. And in the street, girls did not fall all over themselves staring at him anymore.

According to my experience many men confuse the expressions "athletic" and "fat"...

I met some "athletic" guys in the past whose "muscles" were aggregated in a huge belly "muscle"...

And to answer the question: I like a lean body type with not too much muscles, not too much "fur" - but a much stronger built "love muscle"...

I appreciate that, and for the record, I've never juiced, nor do I intend to.

I suppose one thing that is not understood by non-bodybuilders, it that there is some kind of addiction that goes with getting big. It's not so much the stares that I'm after, but there is just something fun about making the floor creak when I walk. Or, when walking downa crowded side walk in the city, when you see the crowd part for you because nobody wants to get knocked over.

The down side, is that people will make the assumption that you'll resort to violence more easily. Or for lpsg members, that you'll lose control and hurt someone with that thing!

So, where my cock on another body probably wouldn't get refused, but the combination of the two can cause some ladies to have second thoughts.

So I guess it's a good thing I resolved to stay off the juice! ;)

Ironically, I know what you're talking about because this happens to me all the time. Most creatures (people included) have a natural fear of things bigger than themselves. While I'm skinny as hell, at 6'3" people have this tendancy to just get out of my way. I had several friends in high school that always walked directly behind me leaving the cafeteria because it was easier than fighting their way through the crowds. I didn't really get what they were doing the first few times but when I asked they said, "People don't move for us, you're the giant nobody wants to get stepped on by."

And man... 18" arms? Mine are ~12".

I think I had 12 inch arms when I joined the Navy at 21. I promptly got a tattoo, and my budies encouraged me to start lifting, so the tattoo would show better!

Damn'. I think my thigh might be 18". So anyway, heres my number...

Hehe well, no, they're just 17.5,
I'm just saying I doubt I'd make it to say 18.25.

Legs are a bit different, as I'm heavier on the lower body with 19.75 for calves and 30.5 for thighs.

OK, so I guess it proves your point about how self conscious BBer's are ;)

Well, a certain amount of self awareness is important to body building. You need to think carefully about every single bite of food. You need to monitor your progress. At competition time, you need to get rid of water, so you drink it like fishes. Body building is a strange and fascinating sport. I'm glad you do it naturally. I think natural BB'ers are beautiful. Now. When you get old, do you think you'll develop a cute little belly? because that would be my favorite body type, if you check out my original post. Big, solid guy, with a cute, round tummy. Can I offer you some beer? LOL

1) Make it a Guiness.
2) I already have a belly, so I don't compete.

I just like being big and solid like you say, but I would really like to lose some of the belly.

A lot of the guys who get super inhumanly huge and always want to get bigger have body dysmophia. Like anorexic girls who think they're flabby when they're under 100 pounds, those guys still see themselves as skinny no matter how huge they really are.
