No Response
About 6 days ago my wife and I had sex and realized afterwards there was some pretty heavy bleeding during it. She got startled twice during intercourse when I would go to deep feeling a sharp pain. She's been having periodic severe cramping ever since. Her period is not due for another week. I need to get her in to a doctor but she refuses to go due to cost. I'm looking into clinics in our area. Ibuprofen has been helping but running out of options here.
Thoughts?

To me it just sounds like her period has come early, however if it isn't that, it could be something really serious.

She needs to go and see a doctor RIGHT AWAY!

pain + blood.. doctor time.

if you search your area for Community Clinics and sliding scale you should find a doctor able to provide care without a massive financial blow. also, hospital receiving federal funding often have sliding pay scales/free care, also.. hospitals run by Seventh Day Adventists are great with fee reduction and payment assistance. Planned Parenthood is also a contact... but won't be available until post holiday.

why she should see the doctor....
if the bleeding started during sex... she could have ruptured a major cyst. a fibroid could be bleeding. there are heaps of fairly serious medical issues that make themselves known with sharp pain during sex, bleeding and cramping.

is she on the pill?
if not on the pill, is there the shed uterine lining in the blood discharge?
if on the the pill, is the color of the blood/quantity different from her usual period?
does she usually experience cramping during her period?
