I blame it on all those selfish cowboys riding dinosaurs and a rounding up and killing all the buffalo and jackalopes.

I assume that this course will instruct children in the Christian basis of our Constitution.

I always find it instructive to read whatever crap people put under the "About Us" tab. This one is kinda interesting:

It's widely accepted that kids learn best through experience. But, unfortunately, the only way kids are experiencing history today is by having it force-fed to them through dry text books, monotonous lectures and boring lessons. On top of that, our children's classes and learning materials are often filled with misrepresentations, including historical inaccuracies, personal biases and political correctness.

With this knowledge, we set out to create the most experiential history product ever - one that would make it easy and fun for kids to understand American history, while remaining true to the facts and free from distorted messages that dilute the significance of our nation's most important stories.

If nothing else, I wonder how serious Huckabee can possibly be about a presidential run with garbage like this draped over his shoulders. Sure, it'll play great to the 15% of Flat-Earthers/Teabaggers/etc, but anyone with even a few remaining operating braincells will recognize this for the farce that it is. I bet it'll be really big among the home-schooler crowd, though.

You can watch a trailer of the first video of the series here.

It looks like material for a South Park parody. But it doesn't look interesting enough to be worth Matt and Trey's time.

Sure they will remain "true to the facts and free from distorted messages". That's why one if their first indoctrination - sorry, I mean instructional - videos is on the Reagan Revolution. This project is as true to re facts as is the Creationism Museum which is a travesty that should cause in every American shame and embarrassment.

    More crap...

I disagree with the home schooled reference though; the public educational system has been used as a tool of indoctrination since the Prussians: It just depends who is in charge.

“The aim of public education is not to spread enlightenment at all; it is simply to reduce as many individuals as possible to the same safe level, to breed a standard citizenry, to put down dissent and originality” HL Menncken

“We are faced with the paradoxical fact that education has become one of the chief obstacles to intelligence and freedom of thought.” Bertrand Russell

“In large states, public education will always be mediocre, for the same reason that in large kitchens the cooking is usually bad.” Nietzsche

Huckabee scared me when he leapt up into my screen.

I can't wait to watch "A History Of Women In America" where I will learn that women had more of a role in shaping our country more than any other society!

No plans to cover the Civil War or Civil Rights yet, at least they know to steer clear of those topics...I hope.

You saw the "Origins of World War II" trailer too? America declared war on Germany and Japan? Oh no it didn't! It was the other way round.

The line that scared me the most was..."We know that the events here are not the same as what we read in the books, but we know the truth and that's good enough for us."
I don't know why it's not illegal to sell shit like this because it should be.

Remember when people would try and blame his political opposition for trying to "indoctrinate" children? I guess Huckabee doesn't mind being such a hypocrite when it comes to spreading such obvious, historically distorted nonsense like this. This type of garbage makes me sick to my stomach.

They really ARE trying to rewrite history. What's next? Mao Tse Tung was a Rastafarian?
