I never have liked Cadbury it's too sweet and hurts the throat. Every few years I forget how I hate Cadbury and buy several of those cream filled Easter eggs and am brought back to reality of how much I hate their stuff. I then console myself with a box of Godiva chocolate or some delicious dark chocolate or even unsweetened cocoa powder. Who knows maybe the Kraft takeover will make the Cadbury edible for me.

It's probably American that I get. I;ve eaten plain Cadbury apart from the eggs with fillings and the chocolate is just plain weird. Maybe someone would like to bring me a crate of the British version for sampling:smile:.

I received your package (and a large one it was!) of a Cadbury Milk Chocolate bar from the UK.

My verdict?

I do think it's better than North American Cadbury.

I thought it had more texture and richer flavour.

I don't wanna make a nice Welsh girl angry, but my anglophilia was reaffirmed.

The Battle of Waterloo may have been won on the playing fields of Eton, but I figure the good karma that, nine years later, brought a mortar and pestle, some cocoa, and John Cadbury together must have had some role as well.
