    Hi all,

Before I end up with a lot of comments I just want to say I know this topic has been in a lot of guys minds for sure...

What if you feel like leaving the shower door open when you know your at home alone with your mother in law, in the hope she takes a glimps, so only if SHE feels like doing that in curiousity ?

any comments, dreams, actual happenings ?

I'm not entirely sure that 'call a spade a spade' is necessarily racist. I do know the last time I heard a guy say that he got his lights punched out by the (white) friend of the (black) guy he was taunting - so it certainly can be used in a racist way, but I always thought it needed added context. But in this case I'm not sure that's what Ed meant. Is 'spade' even a derogatory term for a black person in the US?

On the topic of the OP:

No - and if you do you should stop it. Attempting or allowing sexual contact with either parent of spouse is a breach of trust - if your spouse knows about it and is OK with it then it isn't so bad, but I would consider that slightly disturbed in its own way.

it was a play on words, doll.
he called mexicans wetbacks, which is a racist slur.
a spade is a shovel but could also be used as an abusive term for blacks...i was making a pun.

Thanks dolfette, there is nothing better than coming across that word on the website. It would have been great if you could have made your point without stooping to the same level. I'm amazed that you could chastise him for his "open use of disgusting racist terms" while doing the exact same thing. Good work!

by pointing out that using the term wetback is akin to using the term nigger?

no, i don't see that as stooping at all.

if you cannot understand the difference in context then that's really not my problem.

how about i rephrase it in a way even the slowest will understand.

''you say calling mexicans wetbacks is calling a spade a spade. i say it's as bad as calling a black man a spade or a nigger''

it lacks any wit but i'm sure everyone will at least be able to understand it.

Depending on the person it may or may not be offensive.
    Call a spade a spade:
The Mavens' Word of the Day
I tend to think it not, more so just stating the obvious. You use a shovel to dig a large hole, you use a spade to dig a post hole. (for example)

So getting back to the original poster. Is it creepy to want to let your mother in law catch you naked?

Workin' up a good pot of mad!

Unless you are refering to people straight out of the shower the comment "Wetbacks" is absolutely unacceptable. We have a number of latino members who would find that comment offensive.
