I don't remember seeing this debated. But, the question is: "Should Prostitution be Legal?"

In short, if a woman is willing to sell fucks for money, and a man is willing to pay for those fucks, is it anyone else's business"

I doubt you'll get many people here who support the criminalization of the world's oldest profession. I think most of us see it as a victimless crime, provided no diseases are passed.

    No it isn't?

It is in amsterdam, I know people who have gone to postitutes. Its all fun and games, why not?
Its an old age profession, and is seen as any other profession. Income taxes are paid, there are rules and regulations. It works for them!

TBH I say legalise it over here as its a personal choice. It doesn't harm anyone and infact will reduce crime, increase tax funds.

We do live in a democracy do we not?

No, and that applies to men-men, and women john/male pros too. It should be regulated though, as in many European countries, to protect minors and control the spread of STDs. Prostitutes in countries where it's legal have to be licensed, get monthly health inspections, and there are limitations on how/where the business occurs.

If you are videotaping for use as porn, it isn't considered prostitution. I saw it on Family Guy...

Legal in many parts of Europe, Asia and Australia. This is such a non-issue for the more civilized!

Next step, unions and proper benefits.

it is legal in england the offence is soliciting, so as i understand it it is legal to charge some one to have sex its just illegal for someone to arrainge the transaction. either way it should be legal in this day and age

It should be. it's just easy sex, and frankly many of the reasons why it's deemed wrong are illogical and based on misconceptions.

not only sad/ugly men pay for it, sex is about pleasure as it is for love/intimacy, and not all prostitutes are forced into the trade.

It should be legal. If I had a son, I'd rather pay for his first experience than have him take advantage of sex with a female classmate.

It's legal in Australia and has been for about 30 years. Prior to that laws were never enforced anyway, which is why governments took the next step. In my territory there are brothels and also women who work from home, or sometimes apartments they rent just for their work. The independent operators are often more professional with websites. They also work during the day whereas brothels are evening and nights.

I have had sex with prostitutes from time to time, and it's always been a good experience for me. The women don't seem harmed by the experience, and sometimes get right into the sex. The most recent younger Korean girl had an orgasm when she was riding me, and then came again when I was on top. I am always a bit blown away by a woman getting into sex to this degree with a man who's paying for it, but it does happen. One prostitute who also came with me later told me that she's constantly sexually aroused during her job but rarely does this culminate in orgasm. When it does it's a big one (and very loud too)! Another one who squirted said a similar thing.

I don't know why governemtns try to make illegal the exchange of money for sex as happens in the US? What's the crime when both parties consent, and what happens behind closed doors stays behind those doors? I don't get it.

If it were made legal, I doubt if there would be very much of a market left for "human trafficking".

Like most things governments cut off their nose to spite their face.

So true, as it is with drugs as well. Legalize drugs and prostitution and you can pretty much eliminate 99% of organized crime and gangs.

The only other market I could see that would fund organized crime would be..... Seriously I got nothing!

remember: you don't pay for sex. You pay for them to leave after sex.
