I just had lengthening and widening surgery. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, and not painful at all. I paid 11K, and I have a six week recovery period and I cannot get the incision wet, so no showers until I am completely healed.

I was a great canidate for surgery. Before, I was 6.25" erect and 3" flaccid. I expect to be 7+ erect post surgery, and 4-5" flaccid. I had alloderm for widening and I am very happy with the results, though I am still a bit swollen so I won't see the actual results for a few weeks.

I was expecting to be in major pain following the surgery, but the pain was absent. It was just minor discomfort. Getting erections are a bit uncomfortable and they wake me up once or twice during the night.

It was worth the money and I am very happy. I am looking forward to starting a stretching routine using the grip in six weeks. Until then I am going to take it real slow and follow all the doctor's orders to avoid infection and heal quickly. I'm just amazed how easy the entire surgery was, given all the negative things I've heard about phalloplasty and the use of alloderm.

Good luck, man. Heard scary things about it, but good to hear you had a good outcome. Very interested to hear your final outcome. Who was your surgeon? When your swelling goes down would be cool to see before and after pics. Keep us updated.

Here is a picture taken this morning. It has been one week since my surgery on 9/12 with Dr Rosenthal and I am doing real well. I've gained one inch in length (flaccid), and one inch in thickness. Flaccid I was 2.5 to 3" before surgery, and now 4". I have not started post surgery stretching. I have not measured erect yet.. trying to avoid erections at the moment.

You can see some of the stitches that are under the head. They've only bothered me slighly, mainly when I get an erection in the middle of the night. But after a week, that problem has gone away and I am doing fine, not needing any pain medication and I sleep okay through the night.

I have not had any complications, and only had slight pain. I had the surgery on a Friday, and I was back at work the following Tuesday. The stitches will be in until October 17th. I feel like the worst is over (and it was never real bad to begin with) and real happy with the result, and look forward to some future gains after the stretching starts in late October.

I just can't believe that you are saying you are happy with the results JUST ONE WEEK after surgery! You MUST be swollen - at least to some degree; it is unfeasible that you are not swollen, you have undergone invasive surgery.
You CANNOT know how good (or bad) the final result will be until a minimum of 3 months post op.

No traction for six weeks? That sounds overly long to me. The traction is what will prevent you from losing your results once you are completely healed.

Alloderm does have the best results. Glad you opted for that. The incisions appear very neat and the swelling isn't bad at all.

Please keep us informed!

Was your surgery to cut the suspensory lig?
-Yes, I had the suspensory ligament cut, and alloderm for widening.

Rosenthal?
I thought he lost his licence? I thought there was some big cufuffle in New York about his practice, and multliple lawsuits?
- I'm not aware of any lawsuits. In my opinion, Rosenthal is a great guy and he did an awesome job on my surgery. I think he did work with Dr. Whitehead in NY who perfected the use of Alloderm.

- I started stretching at 3 weeks, even though I was told to wait for six. I am starting out slow with light weight. I think six weeks is overly long as well.

I am doing fine and will be posting some more pictures. Thanks for all your replies!
