Poor Rosenthal is often confused with "Rosenstein". It was Rosenstein who really made a mess. Doug Whitehead has been very ill and has ceased to practice medicine.
The FDA has gotten wise to the use of Alloderm in male-enhancement procedures. A few MD's have received letters from Lifecell which is the maker of this product. Alloderm has had problems in a percentage of men when used in an improper manner. It was not designed for implantation. A percentage of men have had problems with it including changes in sensation, nerve problems in surrounding tissue and encapsulation. The problems with Alloderm do not show up immediately but much later. It is a medical roulette wheel on this one.
Anyone considering this needs to wait.
Currently under development are new techniques for lengthening which may reduce or eliminate the post operative stretching and prevent "retraction" which happens in a percentage of patients, and a new method of girth enhancement which does not implant foreign bodies of any kind. In addition, the lengthening procedure revisions will move the entry scar to behind the scrotum. These new procedures are under evaluation right now and do not expect release of them to the general public until mid to late 2009 if all is 100% successful.
