I've given up dating for a few months, but that started prior to lent.
Not given up chocolate, masturbation, or fun, cause what else am I gonna do without men? So, I have nothing to give up.
I wish I could give up working, haha.
There's something not right about waking up this early to work extra hours so I can leave early and enjoy a three day weekend. Blahz.
Other than meat on Fridays in Lent, I have stopped giving things up as a rule. I have done it for many years, but everyone slips and when they do, it's seen (even by the church) as no big deal.
So there is really no point in it.
If anything, Lex, I'll have to give up lusting after you. After all, it doesn't do me any good.
I only ever give up things I don't like.
