Lesbians subjected to "corrective rape"

Lesbians living in South Africa are being subjected to "corrective rape" and severe violence by men trying to "cure" them of their sexual orientation, human rights groups have said.

A report by the international NGO ActionAid, backed by the South African Human Rights Commission, said the horrific crimes against lesbians were going unrecognised by the state and unpunished by the legal system. The report called for South Africa's criminal justice system to recognise the rapes as hate crimes in an attempt to force police to take action over the rising tide of violence.

I'm so angry at what is happening to these innocent women I have no words. This MUST stop! :soapbox:

They've got the right idea.

But wait, where are the Q'urans in this scenario? In the guy's hands as he jizzes in her?

Sweet. A double fuckwit.

You agree that it's a good idea to rape a woman to 'correct' their lesbianism plus manage to pull some religious slander out of your ass at the same time. That's talent.

Nowhere is religion mentioned in the article, but just in case you thought it was a safe bet that all African blacks were muslim take a look at a few stats.

Christianity is the religion of 79.9% of the black S.A. population.

Islam is the religion of 0.21% of the black S.A. population.

A discusting state of affairs, whats going on in the heads of these people.
How could rape be a solution to any problem?
No one has the right to try and alter a persons sexual orientation unless it's causing harm to others or themselves.
I really don't see the logic of these ppl and why would they have such disregard for a fellow human being.

Because they live hopeless lives where they feel they have no control and are completely powerless. Very often, in a group mentality especially, those kinds of feelings lead people to exert power in whatever way they can, often extremely barbarically, over those even weaker than themselves.

It doesn't make it right, it doesn't make it forgiveable, it is still what it is - human nature at one of its lower ebbs.

I'm pretty sure that comment was riddled with irony and sarcasm. Maybe you should give the poster a break because he obviously didn't mean it :wink::biggrin1:

Obviously didn't mean to link a religion to a hateful act?
Do tell.

Looked like a slur to me.
