I've actually changed my phone number and gone away for a few weeks and not told the (cunt) guy I was seeing where I went. Three weeks later he was just no longer in my life. It was great. No warning, no big last argument or discussion, nothing. For all I know he could still think we're seeing eachother. LOL

Normally though I tend to tell people what the story is, and especially if I in fact still like them as a friend will always go through the process of winding things up. If that constitutes a Goodbye then so be it.

It depends on the relationship and it depends on how healthy or dysfunctional a breakup you're having.
Since over 100 people have my mobile, changing it when a relationship goes south is not an option.

Your actions seem lazy. Just man up and say sorry not happening see you later.

Yeah it was a pain but I just texted all the people from my old sim-card memory my new number, except my ex.

To be honest it was actually the best way to breakup with the guy, the relationship was a mess and the breakup would have been even messier (we'd tried several time already), we needed to move on, to just cut all ties and never see one another again and not bother to try to explain things or describe them or talk even. Talking was not actuallly something we were capable of doing by that time. Me even saying "sorry not happening see you later" wasn't really an option, hence my taking the actions I did. The whole experience was a huge learning curve so it was important to me.

But erm thanks for the advice an all.
