With all the locker room talk that goes on around here I wanted to bring up the difference in the female vs male locker rooms. I think the culture is quite different. It's fascinating to me that guys have all this funny stuff going on, because as far as sexual energy in women's locker rooms, from my 10+ years of various gyms it is non existent! I have yet to see one woman show off, or make eye contact, or linger in the shower. I mean it's all business! We get in and out. I think it's funny when I go to my locker and if a woman is standing next to it she gets that defensive body language that says "stay away" which is absurd because, what else can you do if you need to get the to locker and get your stuff out, its not like you're trying to hit on them. I mean not every woman is like that but it happens a lot. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience to the contrary..

Back in my hometown there was one woman with huge fake tits who used to basically spend three to four hours a day prancing around the woman's locker room at the local club. Pretty much every woman in town had seen her tits thanks to it (and they all knew they were incredibly fake).

I guess the point is that they do exist. They're just much rarer.

And yeah, in my three or four forays into the locker room, I've been leered at by creepy assholes that seem to live in there, so... hey, guys are perverts. Shocking, I know.

I haven't encountered anything sexual in male locker rooms in Europe and Asia.

I must live a boring life! I'm a self-confessed gym rat and sometimes go twice a day. I love the gym and working out. But I've never, ever had any kind of encounter with a stranger in the locker room. I really don't pay too much attention to others in there, and I rarely shower since I live quite close. But no one has ever approached me, and I've never had a conversation with strangers.

Now when I work out with friends we're usually talking and laughing, but we are respectful if anyone else is in there.

the lotion ladies.. is completely non-sexual... but those women are not shy

they are also very, very, very thorough *goes a little white, blocks out memory*

dyke-centric gym locker rooms can get a bit cruisey.. but is usually butches/butchboys flexing and fooling around to impress each other. mostly jockeying for status  i am guilty of this.

    *does my towel strut*

There was one woman at the gym I used to frequent that liked to be noticed. Her body was gross and she made sure she took long enough to undress/dress that at least one person saw her.

    LOL

Maybe it's me who is not paying attention. Maybe there are people behaving as Mickey Lee said and I'm not noticing it. Or maybe it's a regional thing.

Actually the first health club I ever went to when I was pretty young was in a more hippy type of town, and there was a lady in the sauna reading a Playboy magazine. Yes playBOY..she hopefully decided that I was way too young to hit on and left me alone but I would consider that "cruisy". This health club was privately owned though, and catered to a different crowd than the larger chain health clubs I go to now.

I have never experienced anything creepy in the women's locker room either. I assume that most of the women in there are heterosexual women who just want to get in and out and have no desire to use what amounts to being a public restroom as a place to try out anything sexually. Locker rooms are gross and why anybody would be aroused in one is beyond me.

yeah.. cuz dykes linger to check out terrified heterosexual women

Ms. Snoozan's thread was sarcasm. facetious. comedic reversal.
please don't fuck up a funny joke to rationalize ya funky lil personality disorder. you really don't need to fuel ya homophobia.

*drops soap ridiculously close to Ms. Dragon..ogles her rump off:
umm Ma'am, ya need help soaping up.. anything? :naughty:

the lotion ladies are usually tiny little old ladies at the YMCA.
don't think hot chickie momma slathering up the bits to draw attention or seduce. think grannie has dry ankles.
i guess you hit 70 or so there is just no such thing as shy.

likes i said, totally non-sexual... could in fact kill all sexual energy in a 50 mile radius. these women are using the locker room to shower after workout/pool time. lotion just happens to be part of that.

    she wasn't cruising you.
i doubt she had any intention of hitting on you, Ms. Seaside. out of respect of other women, not just cuz ya was a baby-seaside.

eta: reading porn in the sauna just seems odd.
is sauna the hot dry or the hot humid one?

You REALLY need to STFU. And on that note, you WILL be reported for harassing me from thread to thread!

and on that note, i posted an on topic comment in a thread you posted in. if i had followed you over to this thread calling you names, disrupting the thread, going off topic or any of the other form of harassment i would be guilty of violating ToS. as i haven't, i didn't violate nothing cept your fragile sense of victimization, so report away.

you continue to bring an ugly strain of heterocentric entitlement fueled hostility in just about every post.

This is what the OP wrote and what I was responding to:

It's fascinating to me that guys have all this funny stuff going on, because as far as sexual energy in women's locker rooms, from my 10+ years of various gyms it is non existent!

She wanted to know why there is sexual energy among homosexual men in locker rooms while no sexual energy in the female locker rooms. My response at least attempted to explain why.

the OP didn't once use the word homosexual.
i assumed the OP meant all the comparisons, competition, how men rank each other.. the basic pack masculinity hierarchy. had you lurkered longer prior to joining you would have noticed threads like - men with young sons in locker rooms, towel dance, do you notice...

was you that assumed the OP meant those horrible gay men perving on straight dudes.

you didn't need to specify heterosexual women, ya point could have just as easily been made with "women are usually all business, in and out" or ya could have used a first person I. ya specified heterosexual women to throw one more dig at queer folk.

She used the phrase Sexual Energy so what else could it mean? And I will phrase my replies in any way that I see fit. If you don't like it, put me on ignore like you said you would do 2 days ago.

Nobody quoted me in this thread. The only thread that I'm being quoted a lot in is the "Straight men" thread because the thread took a nosedive after you put your nose in my business with false accusations.
