There are hundreds of boards dedicated to general gay topics and discussions about the endowments of gay porn stars and models. They have a place. This place is for the discussion of the endowments of celebrities and you just stated that this guy is "not a celebrity."

Yeah, but I also stated that I think talking about him is just fine in this forum. Look, truly what I believe is that people can talk about whatever they like here. If the mods see it fit to move a thread to a place they deem more appropriate then I'm sure they will. For the rest of us, like it or lump it.

My big gripe with this forum is when people ask for pictures of blah blah blah without giving any reference of who they are. So fucking lazy. You should have to say what they are known for & include a face pic at least. Im not googling some random name!

You're missing the point. Of course we can talk about anything here, but the board has a dedicated purpose which is what brought us all here. Why not stick to that purpose?

No porn stars or models. But I agree it's difficult to define. A porn star might become a celebrity (John Holmes?) and a model might become more than just a pretty face e.g. by becoming an actor (Mark Wahlberg)

It's not difficult to define, see my initial post. It's about reaching a level of MAINSTREAM recognisibility. Both Holmes and Wahlberg have done that, so they are indeed celebrities.

Pornstars are celebrities to porn fans. Remember, this is an Adult site & Id guess that the overwhelming majority watch porn regularly. So normal rules of celebrity dont necessarily apply here. International members are far more likely to recognise a porn name than some local US weathermans name!

Jason, instead of attempting to attack me personally, why don't you offer a logical explanation to support your opinion, as I have done. I have never said that I can't be swayed, I'm simply looking for a valid explanation for consideration of these models and porn actors as celebritieds.

No, the name of the forum does not say mainstrea, but it does say celebrity which is what we're trying to define and I contend the inherent in the notion of celebrity is a level of mainstream recognisibility.

Listen, times are a changing. Porn is rapidly becoming so widely available that its virtually in the mainstream already. Any child with a computer grows up seeing porn images day in, day out. This idea that porn is an underground, niche market is just outdated.

An A-list pornstar is also a damn sight more famous now than a z-list TV star. As Ive said already, this is an Adult sex related site so my point becomes even more relevant to this issue.

I disagree 100%, it you took a scientific poll of an impartial group, I gaurantee you that most people would recognize far more z-list TV stars than porn actors.

Because we don't have to. And we have a history of not always doing so. Talk about pretty much anyone's dick, pussy and looks, no matter how famous or infamous, has been accepted in Celebrity Endowments for as long as I've been a member. I see no reason why it won't continue on like that into the future, despite the wishes and words of people like you.
