I have been on 10 mg twice and now and I have noticed I don't stay or get hard as often but when I cum OMG I scream and its so good. I can assume I was to uptight to even enjoy a good cum. I now feel my orgasm building not just on and off like before. I also tend to last much longer and have more control. I do get very tired after a certain point but take the pill at different times to shift the issue. I was having very vivid dreams so ended taking at night.

Now Stattera had me shooting my cum without warning but no orgasm that came later with more cum. Had more issues with erections also.

Every drug and every person is different. So just experiment

I once kicked it a guy who had an ENORMOUS cock and was on anti-depressants. I slurped away on his monster for a good 45 minutes before he finally just started to go soft without cumming.

When I suggested he finish manually, he just kind of shook his head. Poor guy - great dick, horny enough to be seeking out a cocksucker, and he couldn't get off, even manually.

I wrote all about it, a blo by blo account:

Check it out!

From what I've read and heard all the SSRIs affect ejaculation (delayed) and, generally, libido, to some extent. At least, for many men. But the side effect subsides over time. Lots of guys, however, won't (not can't) tolerate it and give up rather than wait. There are the other side effects, too, which may tip the balance. Industrialsize's comment re. Remeron, especially, is true. It's known to increase libido and wet dreams among other less 'attractive' side effects. Best to find the least dose to do the job, as others have said. That, too, can be a trial.
Nudesouth's right,
Every drug and every person is different. So just experiment.
I'd add, with the help of a good doctor.

The drug companies tell you all of the bad side effects of most all advertised
drugs, except the manufacturers of SSRIs. All of them affect men adversely
when it comes to sex, and the effects do not go away with time. It has often
been stated by many men that not being able to perform sexually is depressing and that is why many guys go off of the SSRI antidepressants after a short time. Many other bad side effects are also present with this class of drugs that are not pleasant: dry mouth, intense sweating, cognitive problems, etc. I am not saying that SSRIs don't have their place in treating depression, but sometimes the side effects can also cause depression.
Personally. I respond very quickly to Wellbutrin, and it has no effect on
my sex drive and other than a slight dry mouth I suffer no other side effects.
Wellbutrin works on the reuptake of Dopamine, the pleasure neurotransmitter, whereas SSRIs affect the reuptake of Serotonin and/or Norepinephrine. This
accounts for the big difference in the type of side effects experienced.
Work with a counselor and find out why you are depressed so you
can get off of the Lexapro and enjoy your sex life again! Good luck,
Fit

I've taken lexapro now for the better part of three years. Now I can tell you that there are some viscious side effects to Lexapro, and that withdrawal from it is a bigger bitch than I can describe to you.

For me at least, I take my dose absolutely AS SOON as I'm awake. From about two hours after taking it to 4 hours after that, there is only a weeping willow in my pants. That's just the way it is. It's not in my head either.

There may be times when you are just not sensative to touch with your cock. They suck, but learn to recognize these times and don't try to hop in the sack when you feel this way. It'll only drag you down a road of self doubt and destroyed confidence - and confidence is the biggest key.

I also took Celexa back in the day, which is a close relative of Lexapro, and it had far fewer side effects for me, but I wasn't quite as level headed.

And more importantly, tell your doctor that this crap is happening to you. If they are a good doctor, they'll work with you to solve this issue. If they don't want to actually help you - FIND A NEW DOCTOR.

Well...antidepressants in general are a bitch for men's sex life. I've been on them for 9 years. I was prescribed Lexapro 10 mg and was unable to get an erection at all. I quickly switched to Lexapro 5 mg. I was able to get erections again if I tried, but they weren't quality erections. Made it hard to ejaculate....especially with a partner.

I switched to Effexor 37.5 mg just a week ago. I think the Lexapro is out of my system because all of a sudden I'm horny as hell. I mean waking up with erections. Jacking off twice in a few hours. Quick ejaculations.

The general rule is that antidepressants cause side effects sexually. However, the lower the dose the better your sex life. Lexapro seems to be especially bad for sex lives though.

The thing that sucks is me and my girlfriend just broke up....now I'm horny and can't have sex. LOL.

Celexa here in the past. difficult to get over the climax hurdle. took a long time to get off. would not stay hard. the selfconfidence thing comes into play when all this is going on chemically. are you on Lexapro year round. my celexa was for Seasonal Affective Disorder, so i'd be on Celexa november through march. the rest of the year was back to normal.
