The American Right are driven by the overt use of fear and the amazing impossibility that there is no legitimate response other than their own. I cherish my opinions and the opportunities to make them I alos feel that it is not only my duty to accept others opinions whether agreeing with them or not, make me a better human being. And while I have many friends who are a) conservative and/or b) religious, I find little compassion for the overwhelming need they have to convert others to their own "my-way-or-th-highway" thinking. The difference is that conservativism, like the Religious Right is fundamentally enthralled with trying to convert others to their way of thinking. I rarely find liberals who actually claim to WANT those whose opinions who differ to convert to our side. Enjoy your opinions whichever side you are on just stay the fuck out of my face. Who made you king of the world? Without positive, no negative. Without right, no wrong. How about accepting difference and working from there.
