Lil Nas X

Lil Nas music isn't revolutionary, but his vision is refreshing.
Unfortunately, people see his vision as a form of attention seeking. I don't have any problem about his music video but the way he clap backs with his tweets is a no for me. Kill them with kindness.

Maybe cause you see these male pop stars as sexual beings and not necessarily for their music? I mean yes sex sells but some artists care more about artistry.
Uh...do you think being seen as a sexual being and being seen as an artist are mutually exclusive? I can love someone’s creative output and still want to fuck them.

“Killing with kindness” only kills the person being “kind”. That kind of self-sacrificial bullshit is hella unhealthy.

Well for some, yes. It's boring AF to just stand there and play pop music. Their problem is getting into pop music and being boring. Go do other type of music where only the music counts. They are in the wrong genre

All the conservatives attacking him and him clapping back isn't healthy too. I mean when one tweeted him "do you still see your dad" and he replied yep, and I might fuck him. The other one immediately meant it as a rape joke. it's a mess. Being anonymous and not in the limelight is different than being a public figure. You can do whatever you want in this forum cause the only consequences you might have is being given a warning or be banned.

Literally don't care about that. That has nothing to do with an artists creativity.

You literally went from telling me that I focus on pop stars as sexual beings to you focusing on tweets lol

Girl, no. You aren't even getting the tweets right lol. Also, rape joke? Isn't that just shit talking people have always done? Theoretical rape is a thing now?Screenshot_20210329-213907_Owly.jpg

Okay and? How the fuck is that a rape threat? "I might fuck your dad" doesn't imply there's no consent nor that Lil Nas actually has plans to follow through.

Lmao good luck in the real world with Twitter logic. Try taking that to court lol. I also like how that count of a woman went from insulting him to being a victim in the span of a tweet LMAO

That's not my point though. It's not good for him or his profession if he keeps on acting this way on social media. That's what I meant with kill them with kindness. Just don't mind these people. People are attacking him already so why add fuel to the fire?

I literally don't get involved in that stuff. I'm just focusing on his music video. If I get involved in the twitter stuff, wouldn't I just be adding more fuel to the fire? Lol.

My advice to you is just don't read it. Watch the videos and listen to the music. Don't get involved in that other stuff that you don't have to be apart of. I don't.

There are other current pop/alt music artists who make statements, just in different ways. Lil Nas, Frank Ocean, Troye Sivan.. all gay but all very different (and we haven’t even roped women into this). But there is something about the unique way Nas came up, so lowkey but so quickly dominant, with this bizarre genre busting country-rap hit.. who tf knew you could do that?! :joy: He’s been breaking rules from the start. He did it again this week, and I hope he keeps doing it for a long time

Lil Nas X is the only male popstar actually doing something.

Shawn Mendes: Flopped Album
Justin Bieber: Being ungrateful but is doing alright with music
Ed Sheeran: Receiving unnecessary hate but isn't doing anything
...who else is there...
Harry Styles?
