Here's the deal. I love lists. I love making lists. I love reading other people's lists. I wanna read lists of all your favorite things. Top 3 lists, top 5 lists, top 10 lists. Whatever you feel like, I wanna read it. Lists of your favorite animals, your favorite books, your favorite candy bars, your favorite authors, your favorite athletes, your favorite dishes, your favorite movies. Whatever you feel like, I wanna read it. You can choose to explain your listings and placements, or you can leave it completely up to the imagination. Whatever you feel like, I wanna read it.

But here's another thing. I hate when people make top-whatever lists but places the the listings in random order. I want to see which is your absolute favorite candy bar, which is exactly number three and which is exactly number six. I want the lists organized in order of quality. If they aren't, I don't wanna read them. But feel free anyway.

I hope you're up for some list making. And commenting on, fighting and hating each other over disagreements over placements on some stupid lists. Come on, make some lists, man! Lists! Lists!

I will make a list now. A list!

Aw, Aw, Awesome, MickeyLee! List-a-thon! I was thinking like one list at a time, but that is even better!

Okay, I'll get started with the thing that's closest to my heart. Music. Here's a top 10 of my favorite albums of all time. It ain't easy, and I've probably forgotten one or two in the process, but who cares. So if your favorite album isn't on the list, that's most likely why. If I had remembered it, your favorite album would have been number three on my list. I have reduced my comments in size, as I suspect that nobody really wants to read me ramble on and on:

10: Love - Forever Changes
- The band of Arthur Lee, best friend of Jimi Hendrix, but far superior to Hendrix in every way. Imagine The Beatles or The Byrds with a richer orchestration. Which brings me to number 9...

9: The Byrds - Sweetheart of the Rodeo
- Another classic. A mixture of country and folk. A mixture I happen to love in general. What can I say?

8: Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - I See A Darkness
- Probably my favorite singer of all time, sublime melodies, sublime lyrics. It could have been almost any of his albums, but I think this one has the others beaten by a small margin. If not for any other reason, then because of Nomadic Revery (All Around).

7: Roky Erickson - The Evil One
- Roky Erickson is such a fascinating persona. He almost overshadows his own music at times. But don't be fooled, his music is amazing. Anyone with a weakness for "dad rock", take notice. Though it is far more edgy and awesome than "dad rock" in general. Chances are your dad will like Roky Erickson anyway. His work with psych-rock pioneers 13th Floor Elevators is also highly recommended

6: Leonard Cohen - Songs of Love and Hate
- Anyone here who hasn't listened to this record yet? Then get off your ass!

5: Shirley & Dolly Collins - Anthems in Eden
- Shirley Collins is the voice of British folk music. Side A of this record consists of one 20 minute+ song, a beautiful tour de force in traditional folk. Side B follows with a number of extremely well crafted folk classics. I have to say that you must like your folk music very folky to really appreciate this album.

4: The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground and Nico
- I don't think this one needs any introduction. What can I say about this record that hasn't already been said?

3: Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
- I don't think this one needs any introduction. What can I say about this record that hasn't already been said?

2: Current 93 - Soft Black Stars
- My two favorite albums share a main theme: the apocalypse. Soft Black Stars is a very beautiful and simplistic piano-driven record that's about the small everyday signs of the impending (and ever happening) apocalypse. These are high quality poems set to music in the most fitting and astonishing way possible. The simplistic nature of this record is its greatest force, a true testament to the beauty of a completely naked arrangement.

1: Bill Fay - Time of the Last Persecution
- This one is amazing. Believe me. It will change your life. His other records are amazing, but this one... I cannot describe it with words. Slightly progressive folk with quite rich orchestration. It is almost eerily soothing considering it's a record about the apocalypse. No one should face judgment day without having been blessed by this record. Please listen to it. It's an unmatched gem.

Dang... It really pains me to have to leave out Cowboy In Sweden by Lee Hazlewood, The Ape of Naples by Coil, Pornography by The Cure, White Light... by Swans, Beauty Reaps the Blood of Solitude by Nature & Organisation and Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division, Nurse With Wound and so on and so on. Now I gave them honorable mentions, at least. Ask me tomorrow, and the list will be different.

I already disagree with my own list. That list has brought no joy to myself, and it will probably continue to haunt me for years.

I am very happy about MickeyLee's lists, though. I would like to argue with her, but I'm still far too impressed by all those lists!

Lists are HARD!!! Especially the order, cuz that is subject to change. But here are my top five meals:

1. Pancit, spring rolls and barbecue beef - all Filipino home-made!
2. Butter chicken, basmati rice and veggie samosas
3. Turkey dinner
4. Burgers & fries
5. Fajitas!

As soon as I post, I'll change my mind. Not about the Filipino food, though - never that!

Great list! In my part of the world it is customary to eat duck or goose instead of turkey, which I would probably prefer. I find turkey to be a little dry in comparison. And I never had fajitas. That's actually unacceptable. I'm gonna have to make fajitas one the days.

I would put the butter chicken above the pancit, and throw in a couple of pieces of naan.

Here's a list of utmost importance that's been long overdue. A top ten of Beverly Hills, 90210 characters:

10: Jonesy - the goofy private eye that assisted Dylan McKay and Valerie Malone in getting Dylan's stolen money back.

9: Scott Scanlon - kids, don't play with guns.

8: Ryan Sanders - Steve's loser brother, always looking for an easy way to score some fraternity booze or some nether lady parts.

7: Ray Pruit - Jamie Walters! That was one turd that just kept rolling down Shit Mountain. It's safe to say that the series wouldn't have been the same without this uncontrollable, paranoid misogynist of a charmer.

6: Emily Valentine - who wasn't taken back by her horrible lip synced performance of Mercedes Benz? The she slipped Brandon some "euphoria", which was totally awesome. Besides, she was on the pill, which meant she must have been a slut, and guys dig that!

5: Valerie Malone - there you go! I love Valerie!

4: Morton fuckin' Muntz! - fat, drunken, frat-boy party dude. It was truly sad when he returned as a sober, married bore for a dance competition, but he redeemed himself in the horrible final episode by drinking like a madman at David's bachelor party.

Okay, now we're in for some heavy hitters. The holy trinity of modern television:

3: Brandon Walsh - this supposed good guy made so many female (romantic) acquaintances. He made them all sorts of promises. And then we never saw them again. We can only assume that Brandon screwed them over royally. What happened to the single mother? Brandon promised to be like a father for her child, and she was never seen again. What happened to the black girl that Brandon dated, who taught him a valuable lesson about racism? Brandon not only never saw her again, but he almost seemed to avoid all black people from then on (except for D'Shawn Hardell, of course). The list goes on.

2: Dylan McKay - alcoholic at the age of 16, gorgeous, junkie, cowboy, surfer, lunatic, well-read, stinkin' rich, brooding and secretive, fuck-up. What's not to like? "Lord Byron was mad, bad and dangerous to know. He was and I am."

1: Steve Sanders - boys just wanna have fun! Best character ever.

Here's a list of uncool things:

5: Antivirus and anti adware protection programs and stuff like that - What, are you scared of some invisible computer thingy? I ride my laptop bareback, like any real cowboy would.

4: Running to the bus stop in order to reach the bus - Okay, people. Stop doing this. It's hideously uncool. I have done it a couple of times myself, in the spur of the moment, and I felt so dirty afterwards.

3: Raincoats - Have you ever seen some cool hero or villain dude/girl wearing a raincoat? No you haven't. I would sooner spend an entire week indoors starving to death than put on a raincoat to go to the grocery store.

2: Talking about how uncool it is when people are making small talk about the weather - Man, isn't that just so uncool? Why even talk about how uncool it is when people talk about the weather? The only thing more uncool would be someone bitching about how uncool it is when people talk about how uncool it is when people talk about the weather.

1: Wearing shorts all year long - Okay, if you live in place where the temperature allows it, then of course it's all fine and dandy, but when the rivers are freezing over and people start dying because of the temperature, it's time to put on some freaking pants. I bet you all know the guy who wears shorts all year long... The worst thing about it is that I think that guy actually thinks it's a pretty cool gimmick he's got going on.

I might change my list. Bought a box of the uni-ball 207s, and they're not performing as well as expected. The Bic RollerGrip might move up to no.1 and the uni-ball to no.2.

The long awaited list of the most important books in Brisler's life. And I use the term book in a very broad sense. If it has pages and a cover, then it qualifies for this list. These aren't necessarily the best books I've read (and some of them get to rest on the shelf for very long periods of time), but books that in some way helped shape and further my interest in literature. Take a deep breath; here it is:

10: Søren Ulrik Thomsen - City Slang
9: Albert Camus - The Stranger
8: Comte de Lautréamont - Les Chants de Maldoror
7: John Milton - Paradise Lost
6: Johannes V. Jensen - The Fall of the King
5: Knut Hamsun - Hunger
4: William Blake - The Marriage of Heaven and Hell
3: H.P. Lovecraft - Omnibus 1: At the Mountains of Madness
2: Ernst Jünger - On the Marble Cliffs
1: Thomas Ligotti - Teatro Grotesco
