Recently have been checking out saunas and liking it. There's something about sitting in a hot room in speedos after a swim with others doing the same. Can get a nice close look at bulges too. Been to Prairiewood Leisure centre, got into conversation with someone I was swimming next to. Then hit the showers, and to my delight found they were open and very busy, so busy I had to wait for one to be free, only a row of three or four though segmented by dividing walls only, a mixture of naked men (some speaking to eachother, speedos and underwear showering). Was nice, had an old fella getting changed facing me in the shower and his eyes seemed to be glued. Had only been to the undergrandstand showers for the outdoor pool prior to which are also open and facing eachother but is generally quiet.
Ryde acquatic centre has a sauna and steam room next to eachother, open divided showers were busy enough in the middle of a weekday which was good, everyone naked. very asian demographic though. It must be one of the busiest chage rooms, it's only small and everytime I've been there it's been packed.
And my favorite sauna so far has to be the new Ashfield Acquatic centre, Steam room and sauna in an L shape to eachother, with the Sauna watching the showers like a cinema. (can't see much out of steam room window due to condensation). It's really hot watching guys shower even in speedos there ( or even mixed for straight/bi guys and girls alike). Also the Spa is HUGE so not awkward even with others there, costs a bit extra to use the spa/sauna/steam though and should be pre booked. change room showers are doored but I did see one man showering with it open. lol, I presonally tend to use doors if equipped to not feel wierd but each to their own! Island bench change seats are another win there.
Might have to check out some more in Sydney, good activity to do in winter.
