I like this idea ! But I think I’ll pass on lilydale as it’s already known by staff for cruising , a large group of men checking in and hitting the showers at the same time might draw unwanted attention
I’ll probably hit up Kilsyth next Monday before close if anyone wants to join
Depends how big the group is, I couldn’t imagine more than 3 or 4 people on this thread might attend on the same day. Not that the staff could do anything anyway if it’s just people hanging out or hitting the showers at the same time - I won’t be cruising and I wouldn’t expect anyone else attending to do the same (I would hope, given the centre’s rep). But Kilsyth or Nunawading next Monday sounds good, let us know what time you’re going to be there from ahead of time. I prefer Kilsyth as long as there’s at least one other guy there!

Recently have been checking out saunas and liking it. There's something about sitting in a hot room in speedos after a swim with others doing the same. Can get a nice close look at bulges too. Been to Prairiewood Leisure centre, got into conversation with someone I was swimming next to. Then hit the showers, and to my delight found they were open and very busy, so busy I had to wait for one to be free, only a row of three or four though segmented by dividing walls only, a mixture of naked men (some speaking to eachother, speedos and underwear showering). Was nice, had an old fella getting changed facing me in the shower and his eyes seemed to be glued. Had only been to the undergrandstand showers for the outdoor pool prior to which are also open and facing eachother but is generally quiet.

Ryde acquatic centre has a sauna and steam room next to eachother, open divided showers were busy enough in the middle of a weekday which was good, everyone naked. very asian demographic though. It must be one of the busiest chage rooms, it's only small and everytime I've been there it's been packed.

And my favorite sauna so far has to be the new Ashfield Acquatic centre, Steam room and sauna in an L shape to eachother, with the Sauna watching the showers like a cinema. (can't see much out of steam room window due to condensation). It's really hot watching guys shower even in speedos there ( or even mixed for straight/bi guys and girls alike). Also the Spa is HUGE so not awkward even with others there, costs a bit extra to use the spa/sauna/steam though and should be pre booked. change room showers are doored but I did see one man showering with it open. lol, I presonally tend to use doors if equipped to not feel wierd but each to their own! Island bench change seats are another win there.

Might have to check out some more in Sydney, good activity to do in winter.
Agree, prairiewood is always busy. Under the grandstand now has dividers though.

View attachment 60633361 Showers at the Kyeemagh Beach baths (swimming nets) Sydney. It's free like most beach areas, and Private enough so not everyone walking in to use the toilet can see you as it's off in a sideroom.
Used this a few times... so cold! but definitely private in the sense that not many uses it.

The people in this thread seem pretty informed on the matter so I might chuck this in here: Does anyone have recommendations for gyms to join with spacious locker rooms (open showers are a bonus too) in Melbourne? I've been going to one in Brunswick but its not very well laid out and gets a bit cramped in an unpleasant way when its busy.
Any suggestions welcome :)

I'm not really a gym goer, so I've only been to Fitness First in Melbourne Central. That was a long time ago though (2016) when a mate worked there and was able to give me two free passes, so things may have changed since. But from memory, the locker and shower areas were spacious.

The lockers were in one end (multiple rows almost like a minimarket) and the showers were in the opposite end. Completely separate spaces, so you would have to walk a bit to cross between the two. The showers were all cubicles with frosted door and partitions, so technically you still could see each other naked (although not in great details). That mate and I showered in two adjacent cubicles, technically the first time we saw each other naked.

Most guys wrapped their towel around the waist while moving between the lockers and the showers (again, since it was quite a distance). But some dropped their towel completely when putting their undies on, including an office worker in his 40s next to me.
