MSAC wasn’t as exciting as I thought it would be! Definitely a nice facility, though when I went it was nearly empty. I’m sure the showers would be good when there’s lots of people there. Saw two change rooms, the main one has 4 open shower heads but the room is semi-partitioned where people change. The back change room is way better, 6 heads in clear view of the change room, but less people bc it’s mainly for the outdoor pool.

St Kilda Sea Baths was rubbish haha. Nice spa I guess, but the change room was tiny and dingy. No clear view for showers, and the layout was just plain odd. I showered naked but nobody else did. Wasn’t a fan.

Didn’t have time to go to Melb City Baths was I didn’t want to get caught in 5pm traffic, but I’ve got another work thing in the city on a few weeks and I’ll do the City Baths, and maybe Brunswick Baths or Coburg Leisure as well. Still keen to go to the Japanese Bath House in the city if anybody is keen:

I haven’t been to Coburg yet but I’ll comment when I plan to go. I’ve got work events in the city on December 3 and 5 so I’ll probably check out the City Baths and Coburg one of those days

Anyone from Brisbane on this thread? The University of Queensland pool has great showers. 2 in cubicles but 5 just against the wall immediately in front of the changing benches. from my experience maybe 50:50 get properly naked to shower. higher in the older guys but some younger guys still do.
Anyone else go there? or know any other good open showers on Brissie?

I’d say Fitzroy and Prahran pools are both always still good shouts. Open door cubicles in Prahran, and in Fitzroy there are doors but people often shower with them open

I agree and have been at both pools recently-I found Fitzroy much better and many doors left open while guys showered

im going to be moving there in May. ive been to the UoQ pool and agree. Also, check out the Aquarius health and medi spa on mary street cbd - baths and everything are nude. Hoping there are some other cool places around Brisbane/gold coast.

The old change rooms downstairs at North Sydney pool have open showers usually with most men going naked. The outdoor Olympic pool at Manly has open showers and that part of the building doesn't have a roof so it's great to be naked outside in the fresh air. Sadly not many guys shower naked there. I do and have a got a few strange looks but I didn't cover up. It felt good.

The Les Mills Gym is Auckland City is open showers. It's a fantastic perve at 7am on a weekday morning.

I FINALLY checked out the Japanese Bath House today, and it was sooooo good. Completely non sexual environment, and I definitely felt comfortable being naked the entire time. You strip off in the change rooms, wash yourself while sitting on a stool, and then swap between the hot bath and the sauna. Varying men there, everyone was friendly. It was different from open showers because you’re sitting around naked with a bunch of guys for up to an hour, so it was more like a nudist resort or a gay sauna but without any sexual atmosphere. I liked that because I’m trying to become more comfotable being naked in front of others without it feeling sexual or wanting to check other guys out, so the bath house was awesome. I’ll try and go in January one evening if anybody wants to join me!

Completely agree!!!! Japanese Bathhouse is great. I go there at least once a week....
