LITESOME jockstraps anyone?

I'M INTO JOCKSTRAPS and being English, hanker for the Litesome jockstraps of yesteryear, hence the pseudonym. Over a millionn men wore them, the box said. I had a few dozen and they were pretty spunky. Jockstraps were usual for soccer, rugby, cricket, track and field, tennis. Playing socker I used to let my straps show through the thin material or under the hems and I wasn't the only one. We used to hang around after a match in just our jocks and socks reviewing the match. LITESOMES had a ribbed cotton pouch and were much less tight than American ones, so you were free to let as much as you want bulge and bounce without risk of dropout. Can anyone add to the list of 1980's / 90's British pro-jockstrappers. I was mightily turned on by most of QPR and Aston Villa, John Gregory, Simon Stainrod, Alan Derbyshire, Garry Waddock, Garry Shaw, Mick Harford, Shaun Gregory, Wigan RLFC, St Helens LRFC, Castleford RUFC. Strap showers to a man.

Hi there, as you say litesome jockstraps were the mainstay of many sportsmen. In the north of England Litesomes were virtually compulsory for all rugby League teams. In addition to the RL teams you mention, the following teams were strappers who love dto show as much strap as possible! Bradford Northern,Leigh, Salford and Wakefield Trinity. A game featuring those teams was like a porn show!

Prosport was the other jockstrap worn by rugby leaguers. The original cotton pouch ones were fairly similar to Litesomes in terms of support, but not quite as good, IMHO. Prosports were made in Bolton, Lancs wheras Litsomes were made in Keighley, Yorks, so county loyalty/rivalry meant that Lancashire teams like Leigh and Salford wore Prosports and the Yorkshire lot (Bradford, Wakefield, Castleford wore Litesomes. Prosport outlasted Litesome as a jockstrap manufacturer, only ceasing production in about 2006, but the product had been cheapened by moving to a viscose pouch which gave very little support compared with old cotton one and nothing like the functionality of the Litesome. I think that is what finished jockstrap wearing - the product just didn't do the job it was intended for and cycling shorts (ugh!) took over. I have a couple of old Litesomes and in fact I wore one to the gym this morning. Still gives great support and is much cooler in this hot weather than briefs. Plus giving me a bit of a turn on!

Managed to pick up a Litesome jockstrap on eBay a few months ago, by far the best jockstrap I've ever worn, took me right back to my school days when we all wore them for rugby. If only someone would revive the brand.

Fond memories indeed and has spawned a lifelong fetish/infatuation. I much prefer old fashioned British jockstraps to the American style of jock, it's such a shame there are so few manufacturers these days in the UK. Keep strapping ruggerkit28!

In summer, for cricket in the seniors, we had to wear a box (american - cup) when batting. That of course was held in a Litesome jock. It's a wonder we didn't go around with permanent erections.

oh my god, the infamous Litesome, amazing, my first seen jock. Before I got one used to watch the bigger boys get jocked and boxed up, loved my first, really turned on and wanked feverishly in the pouch. Later enjoyed just wearing the box, horny but great for driving. Always turned on but the days of Litesome, history, bliss, oh fuck, got a stiffy just thinking.....

Just stumbled on this thread. A lifetime ago when I was in the RMs I used to go into the tiny "Durex & Litesome" shops in uniform and ask to try on jockstraps. Usually resulted in getting a blow job, or at least a wank, from the guy in the shop. Happy days!

no mate, we all jocked up for hard ball games as well, plastic cup in a front pouch to protect the old man and friends, certainly not confined to the usa.

Ah ok. Some guys wear a cup in France too for rugby. But they wear the jockstrap on top of their boxers.
