Best flick I've seen in a while. Anyone else see it?
I just...er...obtained it. Haven't gotten around to watching it yet, as this is one the wife wants to see as well. Good to hear positive feedback about it, though!
i laughed, i cried, i laughed again. great movie.
Amazing movie. Both hilarious and touching.
The one hospital scene wo giving it away was so damn funny I almost pissed all over myself .
I would have said it was the best comedy I have seen this season but then I saw BORAT last night so it is a close 2nd.
No, but this is the one movie of the last year that I've wanted to see! And since it involves my hometown (sort of), that is all the more reason that I want to see it. I'm waiting for the price to go down, or to find it cheap on the 'net!:biggrin:
I saw it last summer at a film festival. If you take the word "fuckin'" out of the script, it would be a silent movie. I heard that word enough when I was in the Army. I would hate to take a young child or a teenager to that film, and have then hear that word coming from kids that are in the movie. Sorry if my review of the film bothers you.
Naw dude. It's cool. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
People are bothered by the dumbest things... so they said fuck. Whooptee fucking do.
Good movie. Very cleverly written dialogue. If you actually listen to it and don't focus entirely on the fucks.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie... it's definitely not one to miss!
Absolutely my favourite film let alone independent film of 06.
The 'fucks' are just an added bonus.
Yah, I watched it this past weekend. I didn't know what to expect, but it was way fun. It's good to see something that's different. I hate the usual regurgitated hollywood crap.
It was alright..... Nothing too special though. The part where they take the grandpa out of the hospital was pee your pants funny though.
And there really isn't that much cursing.
I thought was great..I got it on dvd last week. I wanted to see it when it was in the theatres, but just never got around to it. As far as the swearing... I don't really think its a movie for kids anyway with some of the subject matter.
suicide...drug use...porn mags (lol)
i hardly watch movies in the theaters anymore.
I never read what critics have to say about a movie and I've never understood why anyone does. Afterally, movie critics aren't the "average" public. They are people whose careers are to watch movies...that's what they do, all day long, everyday, ad nauseam. When I go to the movies, I want distraction and entertainment...perhaps a different perspective of human nature. I couldn't give a fuck about the lighting being different in frame 933 vs. frame 900 which purportedly showes the same scene. Movies critics are jaded...they have to look for particulars and focus on minutiae if simply to avoid swallowing a self-administered bullet.
Wow, I really wished I liked this film - but I didn't.
Friends I really respect loved it (including an academy award winning screenwriter).
I even gave it a second chance but by the beauty pagent... I just had to turn it off.
Just wasn't my cup of tea, I guess.
Whoops! For a moment there I thought you were reviewing porn!
