Bathhouses are not "so early 80s." They exist in almost every major city and many smaller towns in the US. In many European countries, they are actually acceptable places to hang out for gay men (and not just for sex).
Now if the information on your profile is true, you were born in the early 80s. I would think it's fair to assume you didn't actually visit a bathhouse then and clearly haven't since.
I've been to plenty of bathhouses and sex clubs since the early 80s. Are they for everyone? Nope. But are they passe? Definitely not. In fact, I think there are more sex clubs now than ever before.
Similarly, rest areas are hardly the "new thing." Men -- many of whom are married or on the down-low -- have been frequenting these places for decades. Oscar Wilde makes reference to them a hundred years ago. There are plenty of societal factors that cause men to seek out sex in places like this -- in addition to just plain old-fashioned horniness. There are plenty of know-it-alls here (and they all know who they are) who will tell me I'm wrong, but that's my take on it.
One way or the other, let's keep the perv-speak for other boards that aren't purported to be "support groups." Really not necessary here.

You'd probly agree there aren't many who'd call me modest or prudish, but I don't go around the gym/sauna with a hardon or even a semi. When I get in the sauna I certainly don't cover up, and if it's a little "fleshy" so much the better--but when it gets to the point i'd call a semi I throw a towel over it and if it doesn't go down I hit the showers. I think most guys do the same. But at the gym I used to go to there was a guy who'd deliberately tease me with his boner I think just to embarrass me. He'd always come into the sauna when I was alone and he'd start to get hard--to the point of a full boner and just look at me. If you want to do that then you should be the people to go someplace else otherwise the real purpose for the sauna is lost! If you pay to use a sauna then you should be ollowed to without having to put up with behaviour that the vast majority of people would feel very uncomfortable about

I'm not paying anyone, any money to walk around on a city street. If I happen to see things that bothers me, then of course I'd walk some where else. But if i'm paying money for the use of a gym, in which I was not given *prior notice* that there would be a whole lotta "loose and wonton behavior" going on, I'm gonna raise hell. Rather then let someone else's sexual behavior bother me to the point in which I feel forced to leave, i'm gonna raise hell to management so that they'll come and interrupt there blow job and make them forced to leave.
