If you think that's a "lol", you'd probably plotz if you ever saw a spastic stuck in a turnstile.
It's not an English word. It's Yiddish, meaning "to explode" (figuratively, of course).
In many ways, it's a very similar site to LPSG, where earnest debates and discussions frequently ensue about matters that others might consider trivial, in an open, candid and non-judgmental environment. Titling this thread "Lol" does make you come across as someone who's failed to understand that LPSG is an all-embracing community with the word "Support" in its name, and not "Ridicule".
