Anyone seen a store carrying Bike brand jock straps in the Orange County, California area? Been wanting one soo bad but dont like ordering off line.
ive called and looked in every big 5 dicks and sport challet. in the area... have underarmour and other brand jocks that i like but i get all hot and bothered to see a guy in a jock i dont have already. aha. plus i love buying thongs and jocks from a teen guy at the store just so i can watch him ring them up.
I was at the Big 5 in Culver City last month and they were selling them. They have a "jockstrap kiosk" upstairs with Bike and Rawlings brand jocks. I like the UA jock, but the pouch gets kind of loose after a couple of wearings, but washing it will make it tight again. I prefer my old school Bike jocks like in my avatar.
I've seen them at all Big 5 stores (in the baseball section, usually) and at Sports Authority...hard to find the old "wide band", but SA has another brand that's honestly just as good with a wide band...
Dunno about the west coast, but on the east coast you can't find an old style Bike. I even have trouble finding the new style Bikes are Sports Authority. You can get em on line, but they're made in China ( surprise!) and they just aren't the same as the old ones.
Wasn't there a store in San Francisco called Worn Out West that sold old, used Jocks?
I'm a big fan of McDavid and Rawlings. Rawlings are cheap, but the material and design are sturdy. The pouch runs a little small, but the material stretches after a couple of boners. McDavids have great room for the boys, and the material is also comfortable.
I buy mine at sport authority in the irvine market place. They will always remind you that you can not return them. They have both jocks and compression shorts.
Know what I hate? Having a GIRL at the check out when I buy a jockstrap. The very first time I bought my own jock ( as opposed to having the school issue one) was when I was 15, and I sweated it out for a LONG time before I had the courage to take the box up to the counter. This was 1975. I actually don't' remember if a girl was there that time, but there were other times they were. It should just be a law that only college age jocks can work at sports stores. It's like buying underwear; who wants some woman up there when you're buying hot bulging briefs?
Anyway, the Sports Authorities here don't sell Bikes any more. I'm amazed you can get them in CA.
just to clarify, that Big 5 is on LaPaz (not Alicia) and Moulton. Just got a few there today; they're well stocked, except they didn't have the swimmer jock in my size. Oh well.
