This is pretty hilarious, bumping a 6 year old thread for a update.
We stopped doing the meetups. On the second meetup, we had just under 100 people interested, then 70 agreed on a date, 30 confirmed they'd be there, we got a venue, made promises to reserve space, and FIVE people showed up, with a 6th joining for a few minutes, and bailing. We had a great time, but it just wasn't worth all of the effort. A few of us still remain in touch today.
