I am a HUGE fan of Lost and my hubby was a fan as well, but this season he has given up on it because it moves too slowly for him.

I think its cool they keep churning out questions but I would really love some answers. I still love it, not as much as I loved Alias, but its still damn cool!

Nothing that I've seen on the show is inconsistant with Skull's idea. I loved the last episode. It was very sci fi. I am hooked again!

I love the "slipstream" idea of the strong magnetic field creating a timespace flux around the island, keeping it in a different phase from the rest of the world.

here's the deal, slow fast whatever...you've trusted the writer's this far...it is unusual for t.v. to take time to tell a good story. such as the ones from Lost and they always make sense. True the series is told out the usual proportions which as result created a huge following and made it one of a kind. Where else can you see different languages spoken, different cultures mashed up together and life depicted so graphically and eloquently at times.

The most recent episodes was awesome, for me the writing is always excellent. I say let them go as slow as they want, wait for it. It will be worth it. It has so far and is still one of the best shows on t.v.

and it's NOT Atlantis !!

OK, I have yet to see Lost because it's not available where I live. But I finally read through five pages of posts and am amazed at the hub bub about this television program. I do remember being addicted to OZ. I admit to having been card-carrying member of the I Love the Sopranos club. And I'm certainly not one to begrudge a person's freedom to enjoy doing, watching, participating, reading, etc., anything that they want to do as long as it doesn't harm other people, horses, or children. But there must be some sort of subliminal visual heroin happening between the interlaced lines on televisions where Lost is broadcast.

It is, after all, only TV.

You folks have me a bit scared. Is Lost yet another bit of "It's not TV. It's HBO" covert programming?

EDIT: Oh, yeah, and I forgot. Are you lost without Lost or are you lost with Lost? I'm at a loss.

I'm afraid. I'm truly afraid.

I'm guessing I am the only one annoyed by the subtitles as well. Seriously, if you have to explain what's going on with subtitles then perhaps they need to hire better writers.

Do they explain the plot in which case I'd tend to agree with you, or simply reflect the on screen dialogue in which I'd say your comment was a rather ignorant one.

In either case, can't they be turned off?

They explain the plot. I am not ignorant. It's not an option on my TV to turn them off, it's part of the show. :duh:
